Just like expected the "faves" are France, The Netherlands and Sweden :)

The rest was more or less critizised for being part of a overdramatically, midtempo-ballad feist, wherein all the songs sound basically the same  If your parents teach you in musics, it's no surprise that you agree with them in many points

My mum likes :nl:. My dad too. hooray!

My sister loves them all - I converted her into a blind fan. She's listening to the songs while working out as I type - I can hear Sandhja screaming from the other room. She did tell me she dislikes Greece though.

Dad: So who do you think will win?
Me: I think it'll come down to Russia, France, Czech Republic, and Ukraine.
Dad: No Montenegro?
Me: No, alas, they're actually at the bottom of the odds.
Dad: *look of sorrow*
He enjoys few enough Eurovision songs that it's exciting when he enjoys one, so I'm thinking of learning to love :me: since it's something about which he has some enthusiasm.

I want to hang out with your dad. Now. xlove

So, she had a time for some songs.
My mum hates :am: and loves :ru:, as I expected. Bet she will hate :ua: too. She usually loves songs like :fr: :dk: :md: :fi: or :ie: and she enjoys all of them. Glad she likes  and enjoys :lv: entry too.
We have a very, very different tastes and that's it.

Mommy likes Norway.
She also likes Latvia and she liked Romania before they were kicked out, I think.

Unfortunatelly my mom has not listened to any songs yet, so my "victim" for this year was my younger brother, who made some hillarious comments indeed

From the frst semi he liked :hr: and :me: the most  (and i am surprised cause he usually dislikes this type of music).

Other songs he thinks will do well are:ru: :am: and :nl:

EDIT for Ritararita he thikns :cz: is a definite qualifier ;)

From the second semi he liked :ge: and :bg: :?

From the big 5 he surprisingly did not like :fr: at all, and he told me that if this is considered a favorite, then the quality of the songs is damn low this year.

For :es: he said that screams bottom 5 and his most fave is :de: followed closely by :it: :D

Overall, his fave song for this year is :hr:

Watched Eurovision with my mum tonight. This is the first year I strangely for some reason haven't been sharing the songs with her in advance. It was a fresh experience for her tonight.

:fi: Didn't like this at all. One of her least favourites of the night and was surprised when I told her it was actually my second favourite in the semi.
:gr: She wasn't in the room for this one.
:md: Surprisingly she liked this one. Gave another assuring "I like this" during the recap.
:hu: My mother................. said she quite likes Hungary. Rest assured I had my special dagger eyes prepared.
:hr: She thought this was beautiful. Straight away was captured by it and loved the outfits.
:nl: One of her top favourites (unsurprisingly as my mother loves country music). She said it's a song you know how it's gonna go the first time you hear it and can easily sing along. Said it felt nicely familiar.
:am: Was out of the room for this one but said it sounded good from the recap.
:sm: Another of my mums favourites. As soon as Serhat opened his mouth she let out a gasp. She thought he had an absolutely gorgeous voice and commented on his talk-singing style which she really liked. She said she'd love to hear what other songs he sings. Go my mum basically, championing the Godhatxyes
:ru: She was wowed by the performance. Said she'd actually seen this on youtube. Not any comment really on the song itself besides that it's something that sounds very Eurovision.
:cz: Complimented the staging and said it was a very nice song, and that Gabriela has a powerful voice. I was kind of in a trance during the song and trying not to cry in front of my mum, so I wasn't picking up too well anything she was saying to me. It might have been one of her top favourites actually, I don't remember.
:cy: My mother and I joined forces to throw shade during this performancexheat Honest to god she started it. She said she thought the rock look was more a front. Said she could imagine the lead singer, and I quote wearing tight white trousers and a pink top when off the stage. I mean what the actual heck, I couldn't stop laughing. I didn't expect my mother to share my quite unpopular opinions regarding this song and band. Said they weren't proper rockers.
:at: Didn't say a word during this performance but said it was nice during the recap.
:ee: Said she enjoyed this during the performance, commenting on his nice deep voice and then did a hot iconic u-turn during the recap stating she didn't like this one.
:az: Weirdly enough she enjoyed this one. Said it was really catchy.
:me: Didn't like this one at all. I think she thought it was the worst one of the night along with Finland.
:is: Actually can't remember what she thought of Iceland. I remember her commenting on the visual side, saying it was clever.
:ba: She really liked this one. Couldn't stop commenting on their outfits, saying she loved what Dalal was wearing and would wear something similar herself:rolleyes: Also thought the cello player was beautiful and very seductive. The rap part threw her off though but I think overall she still enjoyed the song.
:mt: Another one she surprisingly really enjoyed. We both burst out into laughter as the dancer started twirling on his knees:lol: She spotted that Ira was pregnant before our commentator Mel revealed after the performance the news.

I think overall her favourites were probably The Netherlands and Croatia. She said it was a very good bunch of songs with only a small few (obviously Finland, Montenegro and Cyprus) that she thought weren't good. Loved the stage and constantly kept making comments on how impressive it was. Also loved Petra and Lynda Wooddruff. We enjoyed the "boys and girl" jokexrofl2

My mum watched the semi too  As most normal mothers, she's not particularly into Eurovision and can't remain seated during the whole show. She's always got very unequivocal opinions about songs, so here are the results per group:

:fi: She danced to it, but said it was just average.
:hu: Nice voice, she heard it somewhere before, but she thinks the song is nothing special.
:hr: :mt: She missed the performance, but said that was nice when the recap was on.
:ru: :cz: :cy: She wasn't in the room at that time.
:at: She LOVED it, danced and clapped to the beat of it, she even sang the line "Loin d'iciiiiii" towards the end
:is: "Loreen copycat? No, thanks. Next"
:gr: :md: :nl: :am: :sm: :ee: :az: :me: :ba: ULTIMATE RUBBISH!

To "sum up", she loved Austria and that's all! I don't know if I'm looking forward to her reaction about semi 2 tbh

My dad was impressed by Armenia and Russia, but he was more into the visuals. My mom on the other hand was constantly on Twitter checking ESC tweets and she hated most of the songs especially Azerbaijan and Bosnia and Herzegovina. :)

Well my mum didn't really watch the semi-final she was on her laptop next to me wile I was watching the contest here are her occasional comments:
:gr: The singers couldn't sing (my mother was involved in music when she was younger).
:hu: Handsome singer.
:hr: She liked the song.
:ru: To say that she didn't like the song would be an understatement she HATED it.
:cz: She liked this one also.
:cy: Her favourite she even said that this a song unlike the Russian one.

Also today I had a chat with a colleague who also watched last night semi-final she liked :hr: also and said that :ru: was a catastrophe with a nice performance that failed to hide the song.

My mum has completely different outlook on music. We rarely agree in terms of songs. Last Tuesday, she loved :gr: and :az:, the songs which I dislike with passion. She disliked :md: :nl: :at: (which were my favorites) and :ee:.

As always I watched with my parents. The first half though my father was not really there, but they actually were pretty impressed by the good quality of this year. So thats cool! :D

:fi: She was not really feeling it and critisized her singing abilities.
:gr: We both were looking at each other like: "No".
:md: She liked it. Nice party song, she said.
:hu: She liked his raspy voice, but not so much the song. She said it was boring to her.
:hr: She was impressed by her voice and liked the song a lot.
:nl: She enjoyed it I guess. Didn't say a lot other than comparing it to The Common Linnets .
:am: She found Iveta way too shouty, but remembered her from "The Voice", quite shocking. She loved the visuals though.
:sm: We both were equally dancing and laughing at the same time.
:ru: My mom loves this. She said it has the whole package.
:cz: She was not a fan of Czech which made me looking at her with a super angry face

----- My dad arrived

:cy: My mom loved it super much, my father was constantly bagging his head. Good sign.
:at: My father found Zoe super sweet and also liked the song really much. My mum agreed.
:ee: Mama meant she saw him somewhere already. Both of them were not too much of a fan of the song due to boredom.
:az: Mom was impressed by her teeth. :D But in general my parents liked that one pretty much.
:me: Ok, I don't know. We were all pretty confused.
:is: This one was probably my fathers favourite. He loved it, as well as my mom. You can imagine how shocked we were at the end... xshock
:ba: Erm, both didnt like this at all.
:mt: My father totally digged this and was moving along. He even asked me for the Mp3 of this one.

So my parents overall faves would be: :ru: :cy: :mt: :at: and :az:

My mum was on a business trip so I didn't watch with her, but I know that her favourites are :nl: and :at: from before. But my grandma watched so these were her reactions:

:fi: :gr: missed them because of Turkish soap opera ending
:md: arrived from upstairs in the middle of the song, absolutely loved it and said Lidia is beautiful
:hu: :nl: :is: :ba: :ee: :mt: unimpressed, though she praised Bosnia for singing in our language
:hr: she already loves Nina from before and she liked the dress, too
:am: Shocked by the loud intro, she asked me to lower the volume. Later: ''Is Armenia a Muslim country?'' - referred to Iveta wearing a provocative outfit
:sm: loved it, didn't believe me when I said it is unlikely to qualify
:ru: ''What is this one doing?'' - confused by Sergey climbing the wall, but she liked it overall
:cz: :at: :az: commented their beauty, but not the songs. Was a bit confused by Zoe singing in French, but realized it's better than singing in German
:cy: :me: Absolutely hated them, too loud and to many flashing images
