I played all songs to my mum a while ago, and the song she likes most is… The Real Thing. There are probably two people in the entire world whose favourite in this Eurovision is Montenegro, and they just have to be in the same family! xrofl2

Then again, my grandma cheered for Cezar in 2013, so strange taste seems to be a genetic thing.

So I finally got my parents to watch some of the rehearsals. My da's favorite was Frans because he, being a dad and thus a fan of dad jokes, was amused to no end that :se: were sending an artist named :fr:. Liked :hr:'s kimono neck brace thing and thought she looked like Tilda Swinton (hasn't heard the song yet - just seen the picture). My mum was embarrassed on :ba:'s behalf.

definitely :ru:, top 2 : :ru: First and :fr: second

Edit i finally got her to listen of a little recap, she wasn't really giving big commentary

"I don't like it" : :hr: :nl: :cy: :is: :se: :dk: :de: :hu:  :lv: :am: :ua: :ba: :be: (She's belgian haha no bias) :gr: :al: :ie: :by: :me: :sm: :ge:
"Ok" : :ee: :au: :az: :fi: :uk: :mk: :at: (:ro:)
" I like it" : :ru: :cz: :lt: :rs: :it: :mt: :bg: :il: :es: :fr: :md: :pl: :sl: :ch:

She's quite unpredictable cause she likes Poland (she finds it "very romantic") that sound old fashioned to me and at the same time she likes Spain or Russia that are very up tempo and quite modern

My family is a fan of the Russian song this year. My dad liked the song from Belgium also. My brother liked a lot the songs from Cyprus and Malta. My grandma liked Poland a lot tbh and she said that the only thing that's missing is a nice hat and a mask so he could look like Zoro.

Everybody hated the Greek song and Serhat. My parents didn't want to comment on the Ukrainian song. My brother thought it's bad and that she sounds like a duck. My grandma said that the song is political and that she is twisting the facts and what happened didn't happen only to the Tatars but also to other ethnicities in the former USSR.

Everyone of them knew about the Belarusian song (they wrote about it in the local paper) and they didn't like the idea of him being naked with wolves.

They also liked the Bulgarian song a lot, which is a shocker  However, my brother thinks it's not strong enough but still not so bad.

Dad: So who do you think will win?
Me: I think it'll come down to Russia, France, Czech Republic, and Ukraine.
Dad: No Montenegro?
Me: No, alas, they're actually at the bottom of the odds.
Dad: *look of sorrow*
He enjoys few enough Eurovision songs that it's exciting when he enjoys one, so I'm thinking of learning to love :me: since it's something about which he has some enthusiasm.

She has really good taste!!!

I´m sorry. :D My mother is lovely as well, but she refuses to watch anything else than cooking shows and murder mysteries. Eurovision is definitely not for her.

I accept your forgiveness.

But to laugh AT me when I just poored out my heart for you in a clip that I thought was your mother is a really BAD BEHAVIOUR.

I was nice to you, I gave you love and all of my feelings... wholeheartedly... and your responce to me was "Jesus Christ, that´s not me and my mother. Just some random youtube exhibitionist I accidentaly found while searching for something else" .... and then the HA HA HA :( That response was like: MY GOOD you're such a fool... I just copy-pasted some idiot on Youtube... fuck you're so silly...hahahahaha...

Where I come from it's OK to laugh at jokes or to laugh at people making fun of you or even to laugh at people that are bullying you. But to laugh at someone who only mean well, who show sincere love for another like I did... that is really wrong and disrespectful.

I see. In that case I must take my "sorry" back, I´m afraid. Apologies are too valuable commodity to be wasted on people like you. If you really see this little comical misunderstanding as such a crime against humanity, then I recommend you to seek some professional help. We are not living in the Middle Ages anymore and I believe that under some kind of expert supervision, your problem with hysteria can be successfully treated. I wouldn´t be so sure about your rudeness, tbh. Have a nice day.

My mum is not a eurofan. All she remembers from ESC is some :lv: entries, :il: 1998 :ee: 2001 :ua: 2004 and all winners since 2012 as well. However, I announced that I will watch ESC next week and she answered that she would like to watch it too. I bet her favourites will be :ru: and :md:, just like one year ago. For now, I know that she hates :se: song, because it is popular in Latvia right now and she said that it is not for her taste. Also I am pretty sure that she will hate :ua: song.
Last year her favourite was :md: and I was a bit surprised for that. Hope she will like my favourites  and :am:, my 2015 number one was :it: and she liked it.

"Crime against humanity", "seek some professional help", "Middle Ages", "Hysteria", "rudeness"... Wow! :(

I really don't NEED your forgiveness, cause you obviously don't have a clue what kindness is...

Well, you don't have to talk to me and I don't have to talk to you so, bye-bye.

My mother's top two, by far, is :se: and :be: in that order. Other songs that get a nod of approval are Italy, Estonia and France, but the top two is far ahead of everyone else. As a bonus, my father has the same top two and likes the same songs, with the addition of Hungary and a few others he never remembers but thinks they're good when he hears them.
