I have read many negative opinions, I admit that I thought instead of listening to a worse live version. I think it's not a top ten entry, I'm honest, but I think Bonnie will get a better placement than Humperdinck.

Personally, I like the song and thought the performance on GN was half decent.

I fully expect a mid/lower mid placing in Malmo. Of course, providing the new jury system doesn't provide too much skew. I'm rather excited to see how that plays out...

I'm not sure what to think of the performance. But then i'm not an expert on the eurovison. I see that people tend to be more pessimistic about the British entry because of our recent history in the show. I have to agree though, that despite how much i like bonnie tyler this song is a bit dull, but i think filling the stage with fireworks, fireballs and whatever else they have will destroy the song. Its a very fine line we are walking.

I agree with this last bit completely. What killed Enkelbert's performance last year for me was the usage of the spark wheels at the end. It seemed like either the Azeris were trying to use up the fireworks left over from when Bulgaria didn't qualify, or the BBC just thought ,,Fireworks, yeah, that'll appeal to the youth!". Nice plain but elegant performance for Bonnie please

I liked the performance, I just wish they injected more power to it.

Oh no, the fireworks were very useful to wake us up, as we were going to fall asleep...

She will receive points from our jury 100%!

In that live performance you have posted here, she had good backings! :)

Thought it was a solid performance from Bonnie. At least she won't fair on the vocals. Backing singers were very good. It does need some kind of lift but unsure what! If she does that on the night, I think she'll be around 15-18th!

But she performed well, it's better to go into the competition not with the hopes too high and then get a surprise on the night. It's not Bonnie's fault about the political voting, it's Terry Wogan's fault for pumping it into the British minds.

She still chose to say it. I would perhaps be OK with her complaining about political voting if she then gave a live performance suggesting that she deserves to win but she didn't. As it is, this is not deserving of a top half finish and to speak of political voting screams of someone making excuses already.

Looks like the staging will be different to Norton as she will use the catwalk so hopefully that will stop the swaying and arm movements on one spot. Hopefully that will make it less Cruiseship and open up the camera angels.

Now that I've seen (or in some cases heard) all this year's songs on eurovision.tv, I now think this year's UK entry is one of the best. The UK definitely deserves a top 10, or better still top 5 placing this year.

After seeing her in the london concert I'm sure the UK is in for a bottom finish again - last six at best. Song has always been worthless anyway.

Just been watching a glimpse of the acts on stage in rehearsals. One country Georgia, despite its song which was obviously a copy of Azerbaijan 2011. They have destroyed their song. Their staging needed subtleness and the sparks is enough, the fire and smoke is way overdoing it and trying far too much. Another one who's gone too far is Ukraine; the rehearsal was a disaster and the use of an 'giant' completely destroys it. Norway's song was good but at the bit we see in the video seems to be all at the same pitch and bit boring. I expected more and i fear they wont do as well as expected.

Out of them all you can tell who will go through and who wont go through.

I don't see what is so bad in that live performance. I'm sure it will sound better in Malmo, but that performance wasn't bad either.

I was unsure about it at first but now i like it and cant see an issue. some people says shes all over the place with the movement but that's better than someone stiff as a board singing this song; it needs movement. I still stand firm with what i said at the end of my comment about it. They shouldn't over do the fireworks, fireballs, smoke, sparklers etc just like Georgia have done. Obviously some effects will be needed otherwise the song may become forgettable.

I'm really not sure what effects could work with this song. Can anyone name some that they think might work and where they would place them in during the song?

Bonnie is suppose to use the catwalk so she won't just be standing still on the main part of the stage. I suppose they want a live in concert type presentation and atmosphere for this and that's kind of what I imagined for this too. It was enough for Germany last year and they placed top 10.

I don't think she should use any special effects or gimmicks. Bonnie Tyler herself is a big attraction on ESC stage - keep it classy UK! She's great recognised artist... and of course voice as well...

I think the staging of the song should start in darkness and have no backdrop at all. Sing it normally and just uses the lights to get brighter and brighter towards the crescendo and reaching the end of the catwalk. The only effect that they could use is dry ice and nothing else.

?!?!?! How in any way, is Waterfall a copy of Running Scared? They sound nothing alike. Oh...because they are a man/woman duet...of course...

They have destroyed their song. Their staging needed subtleness and the sparks is enough, the fire and smoke is way overdoing it and trying far too much.

No, it really didn't  It's a big sickeningly sweet Swedish ballad with an enormous $ note at the end, if anything it NEEDS to go big, because it's trying to get the people who like that sort of thing on board, they're totally going for the "WOAH, ****, THAT'S AWESOME" vote. People who like mellow and subtle are going to vote for things like Believe in Me or Et Uus Saaks Alguse, not two people bellowing WATERFAAAAAALL at each other. So okay, they put a few too many effects in but no way did they need to go subtle. The only thing is that it will be cringey if they badly lose because of how much they're trying to win.

Another one who's gone too far is Ukraine; the rehearsal was a disaster and the use of an 'giant' completely destroys it. Norway's song was good but at the bit we see in the video seems to be all at the same pitch and bit boring. I expected more and i fear they wont do as well as expected.

Hardly completely destroys it. Maybe "they could have done without it" but it hardly ruins everything.
