I think Sweden should withdraw next year, so their Reputation can Recover.

Well, their reputation is completely fine, they came 7th, which is excellent. Only thing I want them to do now, is to win maybe next year, or in two years, because people are so mean to them, and they deserve to revenge on those haters.

Now really? Nice logic. When Juries stop vote for Sweden in top 3, whatever they send, then the televoting will be nice to them. Revenge? For what? There are not haters. There is a problem with Juries and Sweden (not only), and this year Europe (televoting) completely undertstood and hated this.

Well, I hate when people are awful to someone, that is all about my logic. Take it or leave it, I really don't care.

I don't think that the televoting gave only 21 points to Sweden because the juries have them every year in top 3! More likely people didn't like it at all!

Of course the other reason is they didn't like it at all!

But they came 6th with the televote in the semifinal, so juries didn't save them, you can all sleep well and calm knowing this, because it seems like your lives depend of Swedish failure. ;)

You have to grow up and understand that we have nothing against the country, omg! Greece came 10th in semi, so what? I didn't say they saved Sweden!

I am grown up person, and I have at least patience and respect towards other countries and people. With this, I said all, I don't won't to argue more, it is useless. And reaction of whole press center cheering to Swedish failure is awful, disrespectful and sick, if someone ask me, and it would be awful, to any other country. It is just song contest, something for fun, it is not some kind of war, or anything important in our lives. :( I don't get the need in people to hummilate anyone on the Earth. I am just not mean person, like lot of people are, that is all.

I hope this results in Sweden sending something completely different next year. It's time to move on from the generic pop style they've been stuck in since 2011.

The voting was hilarious this year. I didn't expect that.

Maybe because final was too strong, all songs were good, someone must to flop. :) Even favorites like Bulgaria, France, and Hungary did bad with the televote.

Nobody is mean to Sweden.

I just think - and in regards to the televoting obviously most of my European fellas too :D - this song is not as good as most of the other entries.
So if you compare similar songs like e.g. Czech Republic, Israel or Norway (I‘m picking out similar dance funk songs) most will agree they all have that little extra that „Dance you off“ is missing. The choreography was good but not special, his voice rather annoying (that‘s why imo Ireland didn’t do well too). He‘s like a young George Michael with the voice of Prince with a kind of music that could have been played in an 80s disco club. So where is the „contemporary“ music that some users claim? I‘d even say it‘s rather dated.

It‘s not Ingrossos fault, I actually like him and even defended him after the general breakdown because of his reaction video. He can dance very well and did a good job. But the song is bland.

So of course people are upset if Sweden gets always a lot of points from juries whatever crap they send. Sweden had some really good songs this decade but let‘s face it: D Y O is not one of them!

Most people voting are not as involved as the press, the juries or the ESC fans like those visiting this forum. People sit down to see a great show and then don't worry too much about ESC for the rest of the year. If your song is not a bit out of the ordinary, it easily get overwhelmed by all the other 25 songs. It easily falls out of your top 10 list. Ingrosso's song was not catchy enough, not edgy enough or too spectacular. It was not at all bad, but it didn't have the qualities that made you remember it, if you just had heard it once.

I was not at all surprised that the juries ranked it higher than the televoters. Jury members certainly know the songs much better than most viewers. They might appreciate a good voice or nice production, because they know from own experience how hard it is. I was however very surprised to see such a large difference between jury votes and televotes. I don't really believe the low televotes had anything to do with hating, simply because regular viewers aren't really that interested in ESC to care that much. It could be because people thought that since Swedish has already won quite a bit recently, they woudn't vote from Sweden, unless the song was unarguably really good.

However, the most plausible explanation in my mind, was that the song simply wasn't catchy enough to be remembered, after just listening to it once. You could hear the quick rerun of songs be played, without remembering whether they actually played Ingrosso's song.

Still i think that his behaviour on the stage (Grown Up Justin Bieber) , his facial expressions(Yeah Oh thing) did irritate people... like uk past year

It probably did although personally I saw Benjamin as more like one those harmless dorks in school who was trying to act all cool in front of the girls and instead of getting them all hot and bothered he just made them giggle

I personally thought Robin was a TRILLION more times more obnoxious and it confuses me that somehow he never got close to the tarring from fans that Benjamin got :? After all he was a grown man while Benjamin was still (sort of) a kid so one would think such behavior would be less acceptable xshrug

Hahaha, exactly what I was thinking! What is with whole world?! Poor Benji, he is just boy having fun dancing on that stage, and almost whole Europe hates him. :D :( And I am boring with repeating myself over and over again, but those treadmills were stupid, and out of place when it comes to the theme of Robin's song, and Benjamin's staging and dance moves fits perfectly him and the whole mood, theme of his song. Shame that Europe misunderstood whole performance. It is whole package, and I will stand behind it no matter of what, because I just know I am right.

I agree completely with you. Especially regarding the aspect that the song actually doesn't have anything contemporary. It reminds me too much of the 80's. And I have grown up in that time and do have nostalgic Feelings often, I have to admit. But Sweden's song took the bad elements of the 80's. Yes, it is just a subjective opinion, but it seemed that many People didn't find it catchy or memorable enough either. I really hope that Sweden will send us something better next year because they showed us many times that they have good music.

Certainly not. Ingrosso is the one least responsible.

By the way, it's funny how a song is perceived by different people. I actually liked I can't go on very much! If this had won last year I would have understood! I loved the treadmill and the dancing a lot, also Robins attitude because it fitted the song. It had that special extra with the treadmill. It was actually quite dated too musically (hello 80s, again) but it was an attempt of an actual 80s song, not an 80s song trying to sound like a Justin Bieber in the 80s. It had the typical Eurovision Sweden schlager in it we all love. The silver suits were imo much more pleasing to the eye than those bright lines in Ingrosso's background.

If you believe Benjamins song sounds a little too 80s, I think you shouldn't blame him. His mother was a household name from Melodifestivalen in the 80s and his father was her favourite dancer that she later married. They come from a large family of well-known entertainers and if there is someone to be blamed for him sounding just a bit too polished, much like a product of some producers eager to make money out of some pretty kid, then it is his mother. Just like this video clip, appropriately titled "Skyll det på min mamma" (Blame it on my mother). I'm sure Benjamin will come back, hopefully sounding a bit more grown up and less like a choir boy.

I was sure that juries will put him way too high in the rank but I wish I could see his face when they announced he was 23rd in the televote. Sweet sweet justice for this one.
