I like your post, very objective in my view. We (= you and I) may have argued about Russia, but here you have nailed it perfectly. I was seeing something was off with Benjamin's entry already after semis, when I saw that even Lea Sirk had more views than Benjamin. That was strange. And when Sweden got "killed" by the televoting, I wasn't surprised at all. But I still think he was too viciously attacked for his Wiwibloggs comments, which in my opinion were not as scandalous as some people were screaming. But hey, Sweden was not the only one - Australia is living this scenario now for 2 years - loved by juries, hated by televoting. But while Swedes may be in shock because of this, think about Norway - they won the semis, and in the finals... Flat splash droped dead. I cannot remember if I ever saw such a drastic freefall in voting from semis to finals.

What did he say in Wiwibloggs? I missed it? xshrug

Petter is probably out of work next winter. I think we should hire him and let him loose on some serious trashtalking next season. Just to show how it's done.

edit:
What am I thinking? Zlatan is alone and bored, isolated in a distant US. He should make a terrific spokesperson for the Swedish delegation. Trash talking taken to the next level and Helena will much approve

His reaction video to other entries??? He did it for Wiwibloggs... Are you sure you are an ESC fan? xrofl3

Yes

But honestly, I don't care nor have the time to sit through all their material, I did watch some of their interviews though, but I find these Wiwibloggs guys borderline obnoxious... I mean they are fun at times, but sometimes they are just too much.

Oh, then we also share opinions on Wiwibloggs. I have also expressed quite a couple of critical comments here on their account. In fact, I must admit I was actually enjoying the fact that Wylon gave them some nice indirect comments about their work during the press conference for 2nd semis qualifiers

On the other hand, ESCunited team has actually addressed this issue indirectly in one of their latest videos in their YT channel. I think that our bosses here have understood the message from both, audience and performers. My opinion is that though fans are important to ESC, it is quite evident that we are not above it. And this is probably a lesson that some ESC bloggers will have to learn - soon!

Yesterday I saw one really nasty critique of Wiwibloggers on their website. However, in my opinion, they are not the only ones, I have seen quite a couple of ESC bloggs that were not only obnoxious, but literally pain in the a*s. Finally, let us make one thing clear. This blogging is all about the money in the end. So, my question is how much of their work is still about ESC and our love for ESC, and how much is about clicks and money that the views bring?

Have a great Sunday!

Sweden has the highest suicidal-rate in Europe... We ALL try to do our very best in Sweden to lower that rate, what ever we do.....

Avicii died trying to do his very best... and we all mourned. his lost.... :(

Swedes are _in fact_ trying to do their best in Eurovision... all the time....
Most Swedes are nervous as HELL... !!! EVEN big names as Carola and Benjamin....
SWEDES are not naturally performeces... We are good in making music but we are not some kind of MIRACLES ...
SWEDES really want to do good... But you others here in this forum doesn't care for us. at all.. you just want to see us as DEAD and some kind of Criminals .....WHY????? Sweedes are kind people.. We always do nice thing.... but all of Europe HATE US.... WHY???.... We don't havre any "goodies" what so ever.... OK, this forum is as evil as any other??? I do not get it... We Swedes work our asses off...We work days and nights but --- >YOU others in this forum seem to think that we are abominable pricks who always gets advantages.... WHY???

If you are claiming that Swedes are so hypersensitive, which I totally get, since it is 6 months dark and perfection is a way to cover up own insecurities, so why does not Sweden come up with something more charming, endearing and empathic? Why plastic pop and not Jon-Henrik Fjällgren? Did you know that I love love love Wiktoria too? She had a sweet song.

Swedes fail to click and connect with all their perfect plastic and Christer Björkman is the most hated figure in Eurovision. Tension was building up.

I do have to admit though, that those cheers and cries of joy for Swedish 21 points were quite obnoxious. Eurofans are such a pain in the ass.

I think at the end, 7th place is good for Benjamin and well deserved
but it's weird to think that just a decent score within the televote would've secured Sweden at least third place
well top 5 streak ended

I don't think people were cheering at the televote result, I just think people were extremely shocked (if you look at the press centre reaction, the same thing happened).

On the one side shocked, as you said, but positively shocked. I thought it was okay that he got less points from the televoters because the juries gave him way too many. And other countries that would have deserved more, got less points. In this aspect, even when Sweden-fans don't want to hear it, it is poetic justice.

i am kinda pissed he didn't place higher than frans and robin!!!!!!

but yeah this maybe has been the long awaited lesson for svt to learn. melfest is going down the shitter and becoming a bubble and it's ALL because of your stupid app voting. televote winners in melfest barely even represent the opinions of all of sweden anymore, let alone connect with the opinions of europe. CHANGE OR FADE, SWEDEN.

Hahah, me, too. But I agree they must change lot of things now, this was just one lesson to learn. Even though I like the song, I think it was overrated by the juries, but also criminally underrated by public, I knew it will do out of top 10 with public, but I expected at least 15-18th place. I can't believe Robin and Frans placed higher, and this song is on the same level as those two. :)
