The Jealousy of Sweden is so Disgusting. If Benjamin represented Hungary or Netherlands much more people would have voted for it and it would be less hated. Unfortunately Benjamin represents the "wrong" Country.

You should be really proud of your entry and Benjaminxheart Sweden was the only country I voted multiple times for along with Hungary and Portugal, as those were the entries that meant the most to me throughout this Eurovision season, and ones that never once faded. I never thought i'd love a young pretty boy singing contemporary pop music (total opposite of what i'd usually enjoy), but somehow Sweden ended as my number 1 of the year. Congratulations on such a great result at the contestxyes

Well, that's just the big SHITTY-thing... I can't be proud at all.... cause people all over this place always says that "Oh, Swedes has an advantage all the time".... "Bjökrman is ruling everything"... "Couldn't we just kill all the Swedes from Eurovision" and so on... and on and on... year after year.............. I don't even cheer for Sweden today... I've been shaped to vote and cheer for other countries, cause this forum have imprinted in my mind (over the last 10 years) that Sweden is SHIT, that Sweden (and Björkman) is ruling everything... after many years on this forum you just don't notice all shit anymore... you just hope that everything will disappear. ... and you just drink a lot of alcohol and put up a friendly face... THAT is Eurovision for me, today....

The televote was obviously rigged by the Sobrils. Just wait and see, it will eventually come down hard on you, mark my words.

I'm still not sure why the Australian jury ,and many other juries, gave Sweden their 12 points. Yes it's catchy and a bit of fun, he can dance and the staging was good, but there were better songs in my opinion. Guess I could say the same as Israel getting 12 too, cause that song was in the same category really!
I would have given France my 12 I think...

Seriously

The juries consist of professionals in the music industry. It's not difficult for them to see that Benjamin had a modern pop song with broader appeal. He could very well enter the Billboard charts, who else among the bunch could? It's that simple despite all complicated conspiracy theories. What is very weird here is the huge discrepancy between the jury vote and the televote. It would be very interesting to see the demographics of the viewers of Eurovision and even more so the demographics of the televoters.

We need to send a charismatic female next. I just fear the app has ruined all our chances to convince any relevant artist to enter. The flow of former TV4 Idol performers will probably just continue. There's nothing wrong with that but it streamlines the selection and the app narrow it down further to the predictable mess of today's lineup of cute boys.

I feel increasingly more confident with Karin Gunnarsson. I hope she can bring Melodifestivalen closer to P3 rather than P4. Christer needs to retire first and I don't think he will see that last win before he does. We kind of reached the end of the road on our current course.

Low televoting results for Sweden was such a good moment. :p Whispering in the micro and pretending to be the new Michael Jackson ? Get what you deserve.

When Sweden got 23rd place at the televoting I was so happy and screamed like crazy.

Funniest moment of the grand final!

I’m divided, in a way I think the performance as a whole is world class but it’s true that the song isn’t as exciting or amped up as a big show like Eurovision requires. Not everything have to be fireworks and upscale but I can imagine the average viewer would feel excluded. Oh well, Benjamin served our country incredibly well, that kind of confidence he has on stage is mind-blowing, maybe next year we’ll be just a little luckier?

I just dread Melodifestivalen next year because the last two have felt so long and drawn out and I just dont get anymore why I’m watching 5 shows every Saturday to find out three qualifiers for a final. I’d like it more if it was perhaps two semi-finals and then just a final

Yes. Because clearly, the Sobrals were so desperate to see Israel and Cyprus topping the scoreboard that they decided to put all of their secret underground connections to use...

Although if your post was meant as a joke and it just went over my head, then... lol, I guess.

I was embarrassed by all the high points we got from the juries because we clearly didn't deserve them and it felt so biased, and then came the whole flop moment with the televotes. Now maybe we didn't deserve a bottom 5 in televotes, but we surely didn't deserve a top. 3 position, and it all became so clear how distanced this entry was to the public and didn't resonate well (as I expected). The song is pretty boring and the whole thing just leaves me cold. Yes, Benjamin did alright and the staging was always professional, but you need a better song than this. I guess I'm happy to see us having another top. 10, but without the public backing it's all bittersweet. I really really hope that this could push SVT and the MF team to re-think for next year. Yes the song was modern and contemporary, but you need more than that.

Yes I saw it. Do you actually visit sweddit?
Margaret was my favourite. However, the backstory of Rolandz may not be so flattering for this community

I like your post, very objective in my view. We (= you and I) may have argued about Russia, but here you have nailed it perfectly. I was seeing something was off with Benjamin's entry already after semis, when I saw that even Lea Sirk had more views than Benjamin. That was strange. And when Sweden got "killed" by the televoting, I wasn't surprised at all. But I still think he was too viciously attacked for his Wiwibloggs comments, which in my opinion were not as scandalous as some people were screaming. But hey, Sweden was not the only one - Australia is living this scenario now for 2 years - loved by juries, hated by televoting. But while Swedes may be in shock because of this, think about Norway - they won the semis, and in the finals... Flat splash droped dead. I cannot remember if I ever saw such a drastic freefall in voting from semis to finals.
