The positive aspect here would be that, apart from :ua:, no one would still have a 100% qualification streak.

Give Russia PQ because then they will never DNQ and why waste a qualifier spot on someone who is in the final regardless.

If Russia manage to qualify with this one then is like being top 5 without being top 5!

Jokes aside, does anyone strongly believe in the fact of :ru: making it through without facing any hurdles? If she doesn't pull off a decent performance during the dress rehearsal and the semi final, then :ru: will be out for good.

Hopefully she gets something like 27+72 Jury+TV-Points so that she will be 11th-12th.

Not sure who has the whole forum more in shambles: Russia, Rybak or the bookmakers?

Voting open now. xheat

Given how little effort they put in this year I think they are just giving last year's affair a decent burial. They promised to send Yulia and here she is. I guess planning for next year has already started.

:ru: may even withdraw after this huge failure, but who knows? :)

(aka. Kirkoroland) already confirmed to take part next year, even if Yulia fails to QF.

They ''suppossed'' to send the russian entry this year when Yulia situation happened last year and C1officials talked to Rossiya 1 to allow them to send Yulia just for fulfit their promice.

After the rehearsals of her semifinal this year, i think that she will be in the same situation of Alexey Vorobyov to QF, unless that Russian Diaspora stop from this week or next week to support her, she likely will QF on 9th or 10th position, just seeing how :pl:, :ro: and :lv: also doing bad in this rehearsal. Ofc, many jury members will try give a big fat 0 in order to prevent that :ru: diaspora televoting help her to QF, just to rise the current Russophobia atmosphere in Europe right now.

But if Monika Kuszyńska QF in 2015, with her average ballad and broken voice, Yulia could too even her song is bit better than Monika's one! That it's not impossible.

Ma dudes, do I really have to explain to you how this contest works?
Yes the song is weak. Yes the performance is a hot mess (and borderline insulting to people with disabilities). No this does not deserve to be in the final for these two reasons alone BUT that ain't gonna happen. I mean, her not qualifying is probably what the heads of propaganda in Russia want (aka "Omg look at the baaaaad gays west. No morals and integrity. They aren't voting for her because she's Russian and in a wheelchair.) but still that ain't gonna happen.
May I remind you that this semi is extremely weak, probably the weakest in this entire decade. May I also remind you that there is a more or less massive Russian diaspora in countries like Ukraine, Latvia, Georgia, Moldova, Germany and Australia. In addition to that we have Romania, Slovenia, Serbia, Montenegro, Poland and Hungary - countries that at least tend to give a few points to Russia no matter what. Even finishing something like 14th with the juries won't stop her from making it to the final as I can't see her finishing worse than 8th in the televoting

.

Yes clearly. Because her amazing song and performance deserve only 12 points, because poor girl has disabilities and she was dreaming to come and win esc. Anyone who doesn't give her 12 will do it only to rise russophobia in Europe because there isn't anything more powerful then Eurovision to influence on people's minds!

I'm actually ok with this staging. I'm glad that they covered her up with the mountain as it allows people to focus on the song and not her disability.

That's like saying: "Don't think about a pink elephant for the next minute."

Please stop Playing the Victim of Politics, your Country is the biggest Winner of Politics. If Eurovision was an unpolitical Tournament, your country would do worse every single year. And no, its not political to give 0 Points to Russia. Every Jury must give Points to 10 Countries and 0 Points to 7 other Countries. And No Music-Professional can Put Russia higher than lets say 8th-9th Place in this Lineup if hes fair. Monika got 10 Points from the Juries in the Semi and thats what Juia deserves as well at maximum. If Julia represented Switzerland/Austria/Czech Rep. she would be Bottom3 definitely, so dont you think it would be unfair if she qualified only because she represents a Geopolitical mighty Country?

And btw. Poland and especially Romania are worlds better.
