I think that this year Ebu should change the rules of qualification, because there are not many countries taking part in Semis.
So my opinion is that 9 countries (not 10) should qualify from each semi to the Final.
Then,in the Final,there will be 24 countries.
26 are too many.

Well,think about it,
when we had 19 countries in the semi, and 10 of them qualified,
isn't it the same now that we have 16 countries,9 of them qualify?

Well, I get your point, but I still want a big final. However, if even more countries would withdraw in the future, I can see getting back to the 1 semi solution again... however I hope that won't be the case.

If you look at pre- semi Eurovision editions, in the 90's and early 00's, there were also around 26 countries in the final... so it's not different now, it's just that now everyone gets a chance to be there unlike back then.

I don't agree as well.

You're assuming that everyone agrees that 26 is too many countries. I don't find it much different to 25.

So if I find there's no problem with 26 countries, why would I want to needlessly deprive an extra two songs of a place in the final?

Why is Georgia a certain qualifier?? Because G:son is composing the song?? We all saw how Georgia ended with the televoting last year.

Georgia is not only certain qualifier, but will end up very high in the 2nd semi.
Juries will love his swedish ballad (Azerbaijan 2011 all over again),and will also do well with televoting.

The more the merrier ! :D

I agree with this,as far as we talk about the number of entries in esc editions.
For example,i would like to have esc with more than 45 countries.
But for the Final,i would like small number of countries.
Not over 22.
Big 5+host+16 from the semis (8 from each semi).

No, I don't agree. And everything is not so sure, we don't know the songs yet...

Thomas G:son didn't compose the Azeri's winning song. Considering how many songs he has in Sweden, I doubt he'll give Georgia a good song.

I agree, G:son's involvement doesn't guarantee a good result for a country. He's one of those composers who just throws things against a wall and hopes that something will stick. And the sticking part is a very rare occasion when it comes to his songs.

It's ridiculous that people are considering the song with Azerbaijan 2011. I mean, please, even if it is in the same genre, how can we know if it's good or bad?
