I am happy, since I first today realized that every country will be allocated into either first or second half of it's semifinal (for some reason I had missed that). So the hosts power will be quite limited from what I actually feared. I am not so negative to the fact that the host will decide the running order anymore.

Bulgaria voted for Greece for the last time in 2009, so they shouldn't take our votes for granted. Our public really votes for famous artists and Helena Paparizou, Anna Vissi, Sakis, Kalomira are extremely popular in Bulgaria while the situation with Alekeos, Elefteria and so on is not the same. In 2011 Blue were the most popular artists here, and last year Zhelko was the best known singer.
Greece should make some promo tour here like Azerbajan which constantly count our existence in the world and fight for our votes and they receive good results recently.

Well,i should remind you then that Bulgaria gave 10 points to Greece in 2011,although Loukas wasn't famous there.

And what about the rest of the 37 voters though who have ZERO clue who he is and will judge the song/performance regardless of name?

The thing is, down here, I have met people who are like 'this year we should send Kevin' as he's known in Sweden - well, now that theory makes no sense any more!!

Well, I understand what they mean but if they think about it for a second it makes no sense... just because Sweden is a host doesn't change the fact that all countries have equal votes and he is a nobody in the rest of the countries, and even in Sweden he never got a career.

That only applies to the Semis though. In the Finals it's all up to the producers (except the hosts draw)

OVerall I think the draw is pretty even, with some countries having a minor advantage and vice versa but I don't see any significant advantages so I'm happy.

We're in with Denmark and Austria, and we have the UK and Sweden voting for us! There might be a lot of little cliques in our semi, but we're well sorted to get to the final anyway, provided we send something moderately ok! Also Lithuania have the guaranteed 12 from us anyway, again!

Great draw for Croatia...but I think it might not be enough for us to qualify. Hoping for the best and looking forward to the song. xcheer

Return the generosity to us a little bit this year, yeah? ;)
