Napa will take 4 or 5 points from the juries in the end
I don't know... If the juries are objective maybe, but if the regional judges from Madeira and Azores follow their feelings it's likely that Napa will get the 12 from both of them.

Edit: Napa released a cute video on instagram where different people from Madeira facetime with their family in friends at home, one of them is Elisa(esc2020).

I really doubt RTP will take this risk. We all know they choose the juries with specific criteria... it is unlikely to see NAPA passing over Fernando Daniel, Josh, Marco Rodrigues or even Diana Vilarinho.

I'll argue that, only considering the bands, Bonbazine have a better song, the lyrics are clever, the intrumental catchier and the song will let them do a lot of funny things on stage, but Napa's song has feeling and truth, their truth, that may be a thing that the judges will value above other things.

That's exactly what I think!

Still, that message is pretty dull for the mainland juries. I would say they will get 4-6 points from the juries and 8 or 10 from televote. After the first semifinal, we will be able to see why they are not winning the televote.

A really, but really really good edition of FdC. I finally listened to all the songs and I must admit I'm positively impressed: as you know Portugal in the last few years has been my favourite country in Eurovision, but sometimes I felt FdC was more a one horse race (like in the last two or three editions, where Maro, Mimicat and iolanda were the most obvious choices, at least from my personal point of view). This year I'm not so sure who will win: Fernando Daniel is the big name, but has not it in the bag, imo. In particular Lisboa by Capital da Bulgária and Tristeza by Josh are really, but really good songs and Henka can be the dark horse of the dark horses. But overall the songs are good: I think it's one of the most competitive editions ever, and I'm extremely happy Portugal has found his way to be a successful country in Eurovision.

So, I haven't posted here in a LOOOONG time... but anyway. Amazing Festival da Canção! Best year ever, and I think we have about 4 songs that could do well in Eurovision, in my opinion (Josh, Henka, Peculiar, and maybe Fernando Daniel, only because he's a very good performer). For me, Josh is by far the one to send, and he could possibly win the entire contest with the right staging.

Napa's song is alright but forgettable; it will get lost in the semi-finals and won't even reach the finals. That being said, I'm almost sure they'll get the 12 points from the public, and with the help of Madeira's and the Azores' juries, they will win (they always vote for the artists from the islands). If Napa doesn't win, Fernando Daniel is probably going to take it (10 points from the juries and 10 from the public). The only way Josh can win is if the jury gives him 12 points and if Napa or Daniel Fernando don't get 10 points. I do not believe the public will vote massively for Josh, unfortunately (there's no hype for him or any kind of campaign from his part).

Henka is not going to win either (and I really like the song too).

I really hope I'm wrong.

Josh has the fans. It is enough. Nobody votes for FdC

Sorry to disagree, but I think there's a lot of support for Josh. At least on social media and on Youtube I see a lot of fans liking Tristeza very much.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. A few years ago announced they got more than 70k votes for the final, which is respectable for a country the size of Portugal. But, of course, since the final voting is open for nearly an entire week, the casual voters tend to get drowned out by the ESC fandom, artist fandoms and regional voting, who have a whole week to push their favorites.

RTP just announced the introduction of a wildcard in FdC 2025.

Honestly, smells like 400 televote points.
RTP worked really hard trying to reabilitate FdC's reputation since 2017, I really doubt that we will ever going to get something like this in the near future, expecially considering that the viewership has been going down in the last years... Maybe someone like Pedro Mafama or an artist similar to him, that work with these considered lowbrow musical genres but with a spin.

One interesting thing hapenned in the Portuguese Top Viral Songs.
Still not a single song from the nf as charted on it, but Napa currently has two songs from their 2019's album "Senso Comum".
"Se Eu Morresse Amanhã" is currently at #79, it entered the chart yesterday at #90, and "Senso Comum" at #99.

A while ago is was confirmed that HOA Creative Studios would be responsible for Henka's staging on fdc with Dale K as the choreographer, I decided to check his insta to see if he could have shared any sneak peek, sadly not, but I was surprise to realize that he also was the choreographer of Bobbi Arlo's performance in the irish nf next friday.
