The resemblance is shocking indeed. Yesterday I liked this song a lot but I wouldn't consider to support it now. If I were in his shoes, I wouldn't feel OK with being in the final having such a similar song to be compared with. If he is chosen to represent us, it will be nothing but embarrasing, I'm afraid.

I like this one.. it's the only song i'm willing to hear twice in a row actually and the only one that smells of burgers and fries

I really like Diogos song, it is absolutely breathtaking. I listened to this plagiarism claim, it is similar, but I am trying to come up with some other song it is similar to, but I can't come up with which at this very moment. Anyhow, Diogo and Janeiro are my faves for the final, either one of them would be a great host entry!

I think it's easier for these type of songs, that are more simple, to sound similar to each other because they have few chords but that's just my opinion

Anyway, this is already causing a lot of drama in the social media, way more than bananagate in the first semifinal

And now, look at this. It's even worse. This is a scandal and i think RTP should make statement to clarify everything. If they let the song compete, then they are opening a dangerous precedent.

Well...now, this definitely changes my perspective of Piçarra's entry. It's sad, it was actually my favourite but this is plain plagirism. He won't get my vote that's for sure.

Do you actually think he purposedly plagiarized a song from that awful church (The UCKG / IURD by the way for foreigners, which was involved in a huge controversy in Portugal a couple of months ago) to compete in something as public as our Eurovision NF? It obviously wasn't something planned.

i actually believe that he did NOT plagiarize a song ON PURPOSE, but that doesn't change the fact that it's basically a song that already exists. :/
i know the comparison lacks but just because u don't know a f***ing katy perry tune doesn't mean u can send it to esc

No, i'm sure he didn't acted maliciously. The song is very simple which makes the harmony elemental and therefore much easier to happen plagirism. He may have heard those sounds in first place and unconsciously unite them as his production. The most relevant aspect remains, we're not talking about similarities, the songs have the same metric. And we can't cover our ears to that. Especially RTP.

What I think will probably happen is the same that happens almost everytime a song in a NF is accused of plagiarism: the song will not be disqualified by RTP and can only be disqualified by the EBU itself in case it wins next sunday

Doesn't RTP have rules as to the song has to be original? Why shouldn't they then not disqualify it? This is not some vage allegation, it is literally the same song.

I bet RTP won't do nothing and Diogo will withdraw himself he's a consolidated artist and has never faced such criticism and plagiarism allegations, it's all very sad and unfortunate...

I don't see him winning anymore, maybe he'll top the televote but I'm pretty sure the juries will downvote him... I just pray to God that we will be able to save our faces in May, not sending Peu so that Cláudia wins with "O Jardim"

The two songs are painfully similar... this is really unfortunate. As Jonny said, I don't think juries will vote for him now, and it's sad that he must face this situation.
