Re: Possible Hosts for 2013

We can't have a Norwegian hosting, this is a Swedish win!

The five names in the first post:

Charlotte Perrelli = Swede
Kristian Luuk = Estonian
Gina Dirawi = Palestinian
Måns Zelmerlöw = Swede?
Sarah Dawn Finer = British/American

If you trust Wikipedia

It was a stupid joke by me, sorry. It just that Eric is kind of ruined now.

All above are born in Sweden and are Swedish. Some of them have families with foreign roots. :)

What is this nonsense? As far as I know all are born in Sweden. Why are some people so obsessed with roots? With this logic I would never become Swedish because I'm not even born here.

Christine is bad as a host, Petra would only work in Swedish and Måns... well he can be there for the looks only.

Petra Mede Melodifestivalen 2009.

I think Petra was a superb Melodifestivalen hostess. She has been a ballet dancer, worked as stand-up comedian and she has got a B.A. in French. Most important: She got class!

I was talking about ethnicity, not citizenship. Two totally different things. But let's forget it and move along with other subjects.

And you've got 2 answers: They are all Swedish. Besides ethnicity is completely off topic. My very stupid joke was about Tooji being similar to Eric Saade and so on.

She has a B.A. in French??

I like Petra, she's funny. I'm not sure how she would work for an international public though. The humor is quite.. hmm.. well we'll see. She's one of the few hosts of past years' MF I liked.

Re: Possible Hosts for 2013

For Eurovision I want Malin Olsson and Måns Zelmerlöw. They are both very skilled presenters and both have experience from the music business. They both are very familiar with Eurovision and even have experience as TV producers. They're "presentable" to use Svengelska. :D

> She has a B.A. in French??
Yes according to wiki she has.

Malin Olsson is a bore, Måns is a face... it'll be like the dull Kattis and Anders all over again (but this time with a good looking guy instead of that fug lol).

Well, as long as we don't get that annoying Gina I'm ok.

Haha, Malin is not a bore! Straight, simple, clear and honest questions and answers - it's children's TV! I think a straight, simple, clear and honest approach is actually super fit for Eurovision. Free from all weird jokes noone understands. :)

Yeah, Måns is a stiff, but a nice one. :D

Re: Possible Hosts for 2013

Melodifestivalen craves an entirely different host though. Something of an actor who can sing pretty good and also be funny in a witty kind of way and being glamorous of course.

I think the 3 hostesses in Melodifestivalen 2012 did a terrific job. Gina Dirawi actually succeeded in doing something funny of these meaningless Green room interviews. I would very much like Sarah Dawn Finer and Gina to come back and host Melodifestivalen 2013 as well. Something tells me though that it will not happen.

So who do I want to be the hosts for Melodifestivalen? No idea. :(

Sarah Dawn Finer is the best choice!

Sarah, Gina and Charlotte. I really hope they don't put a guy in just because he's a guy. They don't HAVE to have to 2 girls and 1 guy.

Agree, SVT had the 3 hostesses in Melodifestivalen 2012.

Re: Possible Hosts for 2013

I'd love to have Måns host, entirely because I saw him host Allsang Pa Skansen when I went to Sweden last year. I just want to be able to say to people I know that guy (and then not have to explain how I've watched the Swedish national finals online). I've only seen him host stuff in Swedish, but i enjoy the unabashed cheesiness of Måns's hosting of Allsang.

Måns Zelmerlöw is super nice. He used to have this "pretty boy" label but somehow managed to get rid of it and is now labelled respected. All this makes him a terrible host in Melodifestivalen but I think ideal for Eurovision.

Charlotte?

And big fat NO to Gina! I don't want to see her ever again on any TV, overhyped stupid "fjortis" as we say in Swedish.
