Well I think without Big 5, ESC would have a big problem.
Ok I admit songs from Big 5 have less quality (altough 2010-2011-2012 was good for me) , but I don't mind they take place in final every time

And why, in your opinion, would ESC have a big problem?

We don't have artists like Patricia anymore. The current trend in France is for voiceless singers and cheesy songs
It's so sad for such a good and talented country like France! But i know that someday it will be the year of France and we will take to Paris again.
I don't think Denmark will win again..

And why not? You're a Scandinavian country, you have the chance ;)

You never know what the future holds for you, guys. ;) You only need one song and one good performance. Remember Bulgaria 2007. It might take 20 more years to qualify but I still believe we can win it. :)

I think Bulgaria will go to the final in 2013 - because they take it so serious! :D

Well, the Big 5 was formed because those countries contribute most money to EBU. This remains controversial, because they usually end up in last places, and they still have the next final for 'free' taking slots from potential (better) songs.

Big 5 was also formed because they represents former "old" Europe, they were the first to take part in the contest.
Nowadays, other western countries have a hard time qualifying (Belgium, Andorra, Portugal, Netherlands, San Marino), so it wouldn't be the same if they weren't represented in the final.

Not really - UK and Spain didn't take part in the very first contest. Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg did, however, they aren't part of the Big 5. So the money they contribute is the sole reason why they are in the Big 5.

Nope, population and potential viewing audience is another factor. Imagine the huge dip in voting revenue and viewing figures if two or three of the five didn't make the final xD

Where have Greece and Serbia confirmed?

Btw Turkey and Iceland have now been added to the list on the first page.
