He seems really desperate.. :?
He's smart and he's having fun. So what can go wrong for him? He's already won and if he doesn't again he can always claim the song was meant for fun, so he doesn't loose his reputation. Smart guy! He's an ESC legend already. I'd rather see someone having fun, being serius or not, doesn't matter (Israel is making fun of "things", too!) than those tragic drama queens.
Who else apart from the fans know about Loreen's defeat in Melodifestivalen ?
Most people remembering her for her big victory back in 2012.
I like the fact that Rybak will represent Norway.
Everyone will see him again on stage.
With a worse song.
Losing.
35 going on 12 indeed. That's funny. From the melody, to the lyrics, to his being 35 going on 12, to that obnoxious and cheesy performance.
Honestly, I think Rybak is a great performer but this is probably one of the worst songs of his career. It's so bad that not even him can save it. I bet that if it were sung by some random singer representing San Marino (even with the same vocal habilities and stage presence) it would be seen as some kind of joke entry and it would probably be in the last place of all tops. :?
Cynically and obviously staged from a pro who knows Norwegians will only accept humble, self-deprecating and what we call 'koselig' (cosy-like). The whole nailbiting, boy-am-I-loving-this act was way OTT and somewhat disgusting to be frank.I actually think Rybak did really, REALLY want to win and represent Norway again. Just look at his face during the results. He was in bits during the first super final announcement, and he looked incredibly tense and nervous just before he was announced as the winner. His mannerisms weren't those of someone who didn't care.
Even if... Germany has sent Stefan Raab in 2000 who wanted to show how crappy Eurovision is, so he sent an extra crappy song... which ironically ended fifth in the end. So everything is possible and legit.
I think this can... go top 5. Or more.
