If this song doesnt have Success here in Germany, how should it have Success outside?

Yeah because Conchita had such a success in Austria before she won Eurovision with that song. As I said, it has nothing to do with the outcome in Eurovision.

Well, Conchita was an exception. Deep Inside we all know that she won because of political Reasons and only second rate because of the Song. But Michael is a normal Guy who cant rely on Such Votes. The Last years it has always been criticized that it was obvious that a song who doesnt have Success here would flop in ESC and that TH. Schreiber didnt react right in Time. So now its his Chance.

Of course it would be nice to have chart success in Germany but just because it doesn't, it won't automatically fail in Eurovision. You just have to wait and see. Up to this point everything else is quite positive and the charts can always change.

Yep. Sometimes, Eurovision has ist own rules. It's hard to predict. Of Course people always try to analyze by looking at the charts, but let's wait and see.

I love the lyrics of this song.. great choice Germany.
Plus point - the music is contemporary. Possible top 10.

I like this, while I don't think it is a winner, it is definitely a top 10, possibly top 5. Agree that it sounds totally contemporary, nothing "Eurovisiony" about it. From me, it's 8 points to Germany!

I thought this song would make more of an impact. Personally I think it's a beautiful song with a good singer (although I have to confess he physically turns me off a bit, I don't like looking at him xsorry). However I have to make an effort to listen past the lyrics. I don't normally like these kind of super personal and extremely explicit and literal songs, they end up being too cringey for me. This whole act actually reminds me a lot about Lukas Graham and their song "7 years" that played during last year or so, which I hated. I hated it, but a lot of people seemed to really love them, so that's why I saw big potential in this entry, I'm thinking it will stand out in the final and do quite well.

I'll rate it with an 8, because I'm not listening to the lyrics nanananananana.

Now that you mention it, I think I'm pretty much the opposite... I'm generally terrible at understanding the hidden meaning behind more complex lyrics, so I must admit I often like it when a song just says "thing A happened, and it makes me feel B"

:lol::lol: Well I don't like too complex lyrcis neither, I also have a hard time getting figurative speech when it's too abstract and so, and I find it hard to relate to the song when it does that, although I can enjoy it. I much prefer lyrics than come from the heart. This song does come from the heart obviously, but what I mean is that I don't need to know that you had two brothers and whatever your father told you to connect to the song. Let's say I like it more when the song skips "thing A happened", and just tells me that "is making me feel B".

Then again two of my favourite artists are Lily Allen and Jens Lekman, and you can't get more literal than their songs, so I don't know xfacepalm

Aw, I love his full hair. xlove Makes me wonder how it must feel to touch it. xrofl3 Besides that, I usually love both: lyrics that are personal and make you touch inside, but then again I also love lyrics that are metaphorical. I love images and pictures that the listener has to think about and analyse. There's no better way to go deep inside and think about life.

Major improvement from Germany. I wanted voXXclub so bad, but this is beautiful. However, it's neither a masterpiece and I'm not too convinced with his live singing. Let's wait, but 7 points so far.
