Just recognised: The studio version is faster than her live performance. The slower version is IMHO better, but she should work on her first phase. That sound a bit Donald-Duckish.

However Fahrenhaidt failed to perform well. We will defenitely not win. The only song that had the potential to be a winner was Frozen Silence. And the blew it...

I think Wechselt Die Beleuchtung also had a good chance of being in the top 5, the performance was stunning!

True, but you need to understand whats it all about and I cannot imagine singing Laing in English

The studio version isn't faster then the live version.

On YouTube there is a faster version because of copyright restricitions.
The automatic identification of copyrighted material doesn't work when the tempo is faster.
The faster one doesn't sound bad either.

The next opportunity to see Ann Sophie live is on the 26th of March at the ECHO presentation.
I think that she'll work on her performance and we'll see a better one on that night though I find the one at the NF also good.

Ann Sophie was my Fav, so I'm glad she won after all.

All in all the songs this year in German preselection were quite mediocre for a Eurovision event. Ann Sophie has the song which I like best because I like that kind of music - but we won't have great chances in Eurovision with it.

So I just noticed there was some kind of drama with the original winner pulling out. After listening to both songs I definitely prefer Black Smoke.

I hope the German people will get behind her and not hate on her for something out of her control.

Hope so too but since the press is totally celebrating Kümmert as some kind of hero ... I fear that she's not going to have an easy time. But hey ... I support her - She's great :D

When are we going to get the Black Smoke video I wonder? We already know it is filmed as they previewed a part of it before her performance in the German final.

You don't have to. If Laing had won, would have sung in German.

Defenitely, but then the listeners don't get the deeper meaning what the Song is about and the will noch recognise the clever usage of the German language.

Don't think that this would have been such a big problem - The performance, which was absolutely stunning btw, makes the song understandable for everyone :D

I votet for Laing because of the performance. You might be right, but we cannot see who is right.

Seems that Fahrenhaidt goes right into the German Schlager-scene.
They are going to perform at "Die Besten im Frühling" next saturday on ARD at 20.15.
Maybe we can see Mother Earth though I guess that they'll perform Frozen Silence again.

If they have a better staging and performance then I'm very upset!
In most cases it's a playback version in those shows so you can't compare it right away.

They also confirmed that they'll do a tour starting in September.
Hope the best for the group! ;)

Ann Sophie is today on the show "DAS!" on NDR from 18.45 to 19.30.
For all who can understand German, here's the livestream:

Oh Germany ...
It has been revealed that Kümmert was even winner with both songs... that's what we know about the results of round 2:
1. Heart of Stone
2. Home is in my Hands
3. Black smoke
4. Jump the gun
5. ??
6. ??
7. ??
8. ??

I'm gonna puke xpuke WHO THE HELL VOTED FOR HIM? I must be one of the very few who absolutely hated his performances/songs then...

Ann Sophie is going to perform at Eurovision in Concert this year in Amsterdam.

It's the first time that Germany will take part at this show. ;)
