Humour about politics has no place in a music festival...especially when we're talking about a country that has to face so many problems. I know people over there don't really know how things are over here but, you know, when I don't know if I'll get my next paycheck or not, and when Grexit seems to be closer than ever, it's not easy to laugh at such a joke. People are scared over here...and jokes like that scare us even more.
It's not like burning German flags or comparing German politicians to Nazis don't scare us...

None of those things happened during a music festival that the whole Europe can watch. It's Eurovision we're talking about here, not comparing awful things that have been said about both countries by both countries.

I really Don't like this song. It's just... meh! Wish the "real" winner would be in ESC

It's not the same what random people do in the streets than using an Eurovision NF to make certain comments about a country which is taking part in the same competition.

I know it's just a joke and it's not a big deal. But it was a bit unfortunate.

I think in a way this situation is better for Ann. Since she came second, nobody is putting the same pressure as it would had put if she would have been the winner.

I agree. Barbara should have been aware it is not only Germany watching. She can be quite funny, but sometimes her jokes are a bit tasteless and over the line.

I want Anke back.

xcookie That's why I love her so much. She's so talented and have so much fun. Only Carolin Kebekus is close to her. Cologne is good to his woman

Anke knows how to be entertaining without sounding fake. She's amazingly funny, yet very professional. By her side, Stefan Raab seemed so useless imo  Judith Rakers was ok for presenting but too serious otherwise, she always looked awkward during the jokes.

Anke = my favourite host so far.

No surprise, she was actually a news presenter at the time.

That whole talk "Well, you shouldn't force the artist".....YES, YOU SHOULD. You signed up for it and you need to finish what you started. Quitters are a pet peeve of mine. They need to introduce a rule similar to Eurovision, where if an artist decides to withdraw they'll have to pay a hefty fine.
Only in Germany an artist would reject being more famous  And he was the winner of The Voice
You think you can't handle the fame? Perform on streets, not in TV. Congratulations Ann Sophie, even though your performance was terrible.
