Dance music is not just Cascada though, there's diversity within the dance music genre so I guess he meant the type of dance music Cascada does.
I personally cant tell much difference between dance songs whether they're Cascada, Loreen or David Guetta. I know that you have a bias against Cascada though, yesterday you were calling Natalie fat and today that this is some form of 'lesser' dance track ;).

Eurovision a strict format? Last I checked Eurovision wasn't just a pop contest, and the whole idea is songs representing their countries... so actually LaBrassBanda would make sense in the Eurovision format...

Now, I wouldn't want them to win with that song, but I do find it sad that people have come to the conclusion that Eurovision somehow is a Anglovsion pop contest... which is actually pretty far from Eurovision's actual concept.

I think you're doing them an injustice. Sure, "Nackert" isn't exactly the greatest song ever, but these guys are really great musicians and they've played shows all over Europe (as well as overseas), including some of the big festivals like Roskilde and Sziget. They probably got a lot of their votes from the indie and rock crowd.

But it's just what I mean.
Eurovision is a strict format because you have to sing upon a recorded music within 3 minutes. In the rehersals singers sing in the same way the same song. Every camera plan is the same and it's a millimeter thing.
It's not like singing in a festival where you can go impro, make fun, do what you want...
That's why professional singers can fail... Just think 3Js, they never watched the camera a single time...

But as a song, I liked Nackert, at least the studio version. I wasn't convinced by their live...

I would be pleased to watch them in a concert in Bayern, drinking bears and so on ! hahahaha

I get what you mean now, but that has more to do with the way they present their entry than the entry itself, I mean the song could very well fit into ESC but they might have failed due to the way they would present it though.

We agree ;)

I'm not fluent in English so sometimes it's hard to explain ! It's known that we French have problems in foreign languages ! :D

I used to love the kind of dance music that was popular in the 90's, and Cascada was one of many groups that killed that love for me in the early noughties, but maybe that was just me getting older, not sure.

Oh, I'm still a sucker for 90's Eurodance... however it has some novelty over it, I'm not really fond of newer acts trying to doing the same because it's loosing that special feeling.

Give me 2 Unlimited or Basic Element anyday!

I love it! I think it will be a massive hit in the UK so...massive chance this year! 12 points!

You can't imagine the shitstorm here in Germany. I've never even seen so much hate against an artist like today against Natalie... This is so unbelievable unfair... Just because of this I wish Cascada to do very well in Malmö, so that she can beat all the critics.

I totally agree with you. It's so unfair. And the most strange thing is, that they blame the jury. I mean, noone has seen La Brassbanda as a fav in this NF, and now there are petitions for a revote. Shame on you Germany :(

Even if there'd be a revote - I can tell you, Cascada would win again...

@bashers: The jury gave 1 Point to LaBrassBanda, who had 12 Points in the Radiovoting and 8 to Cascada, who had 12 in the Televoting. So Cascada won because of that (without the jury, it would have been a tie).

Ah come on guys, it's the same procedure as every year... remember 2010 when everybody was AGAINST Lena until she won in Oslo? Funny thing for me is, that only a few wonder about the results of the radio voting - as if all the Germans really voted for LaBrassbanda

Yeah, that was really funny, it was like:
February-April: We hate Lena, she will make Place 25
May till now: Lena as a "national icon "(Quote: Yesterday's NF)
