No, it will be 1/3 jury, 1/3 televoting, 1/3 online voting after the songs will be played on the ARD radio channels
Only 1/3 jury? Hmm, that's interesting. I guess there is no limit in the number of televotes you can give, but each vote will cost you money, right? What about online voting? One vote per IP?

I have read that it won't be an online voting but that listeners will have to call the radio stations and name their favourites by phone. Not sure if it's true though.

No, I quote from eurovision.de:

And why should they do this voting by phone too? I think it's easier for the radio stations to do this online voting than setting up everything for a televoting

Not everybody got a computer or smartphone. ;)
But you're right, it's probably much more efficient, cheaper and fair to do only online voting 1 vote/IP

Okay, thanks. I did not see the interview with Anke Engelke's at TV Total myself. Although I wouldn't have found the idea bad actually because online polls can easily be manipulated/spoilt by multiple fan votes and record labels. Well, whatever, I am not fond of this system anyway.

Yep, I think it's much fairer. That way some crazy people won't vote 1000 times for their favourite song.
It should also be like that in the televoting. Here in Portugal, in FdC it was like that. People could vote how many times they wanted, but only the last call would count as a vote.

I really would like to have a system like this too - one call one vote for the televoting and one IP one vote for the Internet voting. Or something like you have to give a valid mail adress for the Internet voting and of course there again one adress one vote.
But I think that ARD/NDR will do something like this for the Internet voting, the last thing they want is a scandal about a manipulated voting

I hope they will have a system of "one account one vote" as "one IP one vote" could easily be manipulated. It takes only a few seconds to get a new IP and with tools like the Firefox addon iMacros the voting process could also be automated.

I think Germany can easily enter the top 10 again in Malmø. Cascada is one of the german entries that could end up top 10 if they go to Malmø.

I'd love to see something like "Die Priester, ave maris stella" enter eurovision, it would be a real bomb, something truly "glorious" for a change. The whole thing is utterly beautiful. And it would make for the diversity in the context, which is always a good thing. I just hope it works live, but I'm assuming it will, as it appears they are quite professional. There are a few other good songs in the line up as well, but this is way above the rest. Well done, germany! Don't spoil it now.

No No No No No ! No priests anywhere and especially in ESC ! This is a party and we don't need any priest to party !

And our version of The Priests though they sold thousands of records would make a scandal if having been selected.

Plus the song is frightening. It reminds Enigma "Sadeness" and horrendous things like that...

+1 xcheers

The Priests are way above any other entry in the NF. It would've been an epic entry + something new on ESC.

But, instead of that, of course we will get a "glorious" entry. And it will suffer the glorious fate of No Angels. It screams "failure". Such generic, bland and monotone entries are far from anything great.

I don't think any priest could sing like that. Not really. Monks might, they're more sort of mystical. And unless I'm under torture, no one will convince me that girl's a nun ;).

Anyway, there will be plenty of happy-clappy songs to suit all tastes. There always are :p

Re: GERMANY 2013

I agree that The Priests have a high quality entry, but I highly doubt that it would score in the Top 10. This kind of entry is not appreciated by the majority of the ESC audience. Just look at Amaury Vassili.

Cascada on the other hand is really bland, but I bet there will be a lot of fans especially in Eastern Europe who would vote for her. In my opinion "Heart on the line" of Blitzkids is a good compromise. It's not that generic, has a nice beat and feels quite fresh due to the outfits. I like it and I guess it could even work live on stage if they don't mess it up.
