Malta is using the dead sun the best they can, she performs a part of her song on the front stage (where you see the water) and there's rays of lights coming from the dead sun and it looks very pretty and different from the black hole we were used to.

Georgia was something btw

Very curious to see how the Sheldon & Baptiste combination will work out. I expect something artistic, not your typical ballad-staging (like S10's).

Altough the NF staging and outfit were already pretty decent if you ask me tho.

It was there in Finland's performance. But it looks like it's gone in Israel's one. Strange.
Edit: Seems like Israel brought their own physical backdrop and cover the sun. LOVE IT!

Israel and San Marino used the stage features in the best way imo. Both of their performances look unique.

Looks really good. We can always trust Azerbaijan giving us good stage shows. I don't know why, but it gives me Azerbaijan 2015 vibes. I think the viewers of SF2 are going to face fatigue. We are getting very in-your-face and impactful stagings for the first 5 songs.
Looks amazing. Very stylish

Here an article by La Stampa a national newspaper based in Torino.
In few words the article says that this kinetic sun will not be so kinetic as was thought due to a malfunction happened 2 days ago. We will see it in all its splendid shape only during some moments like openings, guest stars performances and other acts where televoting isn't involved.
During the 40 performances it will not be moved Seems that only few national teams were pissed of about this problem, Lithuania Lettonia and Netherlands and that the question isn't that dramatic as it seems. By the way, this afternoon Francesca Mortinaro is invited for a conference in the Politecnico di Torino and she will have a press conference too. Those last fact were published by Eurofestival news.
To dismantle it means dismantle the entire stage I think. But let's wait and have some other news
so what they're saying is: The sun will be fixed and only used for non competitors. Which sounds fair... But if it works, they can also turn it to the led side for the countries that want a full screen, and use the lighting side for countries that want that.

Problem solved

Cyprus definitely have one of the biggest props of the day – a huge shell-shaped structure that accommodates both dancers AND graphic projections. We love a multi-function prop.

Andromache appears like Aphrodite from the waves, and brings some elegance and energy to the final rehearsal of the day – it’s a really good mid-tempo pop song, and we’re having a little dance in the Green Room.

At this point, I pity the stage crew working in SF2. So many props just for the first half.

Don't know about the white dress. It makes everything look even more dramatic and theatrical. The black outfit looked better in my eyes. Overall it still looks classy and he really stands out, but yeah, maybe expected something more. Not really different from some of the stagings we've already seen. The stairs as well.

Why is this dam sun not having LED screens on the front side in its original position? Why are they on the back now. Doesn’t make any sense at all… All in all it looks like the shitty 1999 stage tbh.

Not really my cup of tea, Cyprus this year, but it looks good. Especially that last on stage photo.

Cyprus staging seems really interesting and really wisely done. I don't know if they done it on purpose (but I think pretty much of yes, seeing the concept they choose) but from the photos the staging reminded me of Botticelli's "Venus Nativity" with Andromache standing in what seems a "light seashell" and dancers around her trying to reach her. If that was the idea they had in mind, it seems really nicely done.

Wake me up when we have valid information concerning that sun thingy.
They are really keeping it like this, aren`t they? Gotte put my hope to rest, I guess.

Edit: There used to be some sort of production insight blog in past years. (forgot the name of the dude) Is there something similar this year? Maybe one can find some answers there.

The bigger/ more props. The better the stage. Unless you are going to use the front stage. I do worry for the countries that we know won’t be using props.
