Girl .... at this point they should just demolish the sun. They cannot be serious about just letting it stay this way? Zero communication ... pisses me off.

Last year, we had Cyprus opening the final and Albania getting that death slot.
Both performances bascially consisted of the same shade of red, a lot of black and both female singers basically had the same outift (some sort of).

I know right. I hope this will not affect Israel and Serbia's chances. 2 similar looking stagings back-to-back. Thank God Israel brought their own backdrop and Serbia has a unique hand-washing element in the staging. The showrunner is basically shite, trying to sabotage entries they don't like.

Azerbaijan's First Rehearsal Gallery

Looks really good. We can always trust Azerbaijan giving us good stage shows. I don't know why, but it gives me Azerbaijan 2015 vibes. I think the viewers of SF2 are going to face fatigue. We are getting very in-your-face and impactful stagings for the first 5 songs.

I hope France's staging will look like a satanic forest or whatever with that dead sun lmao that would be dramatic AF

and I hope that Sweden didn't plan to use the sun as its props as she had be turning around a flat circle (I guess no but that would have been fun for the drama).

Those rehearsals are far more entertaining than I actually thought :D Trying to keep this drama on the "positive" "fun" and "stupid" side of things.

Here an article by La Stampa a national newspaper based in Torino.
In few words the article says that this kinetic sun will not be so kinetic as was thought due to a malfunction happened 2 days ago. We will see it in all its splendid shape only during some moments like openings, guest stars performances and other acts where televoting isn't involved.
During the 40 performances it will not be moved Seems that only few national teams were pissed of about this problem, Lithuania Lettonia and Netherlands and that the question isn't that dramatic as it seems. By the way, this afternoon Francesca Mortinaro is invited for a conference in the Politecnico di Torino and she will have a press conference too. Those last fact were published by Eurofestival news.
To dismantle it means dismantle the entire stage I think. But let's wait and have some other news

Yeah that`s not new. The question remains whether they will keep it the way it is now (aka a big black hole covering 2/3rds of the entire LED wall). That would be .... something. It would be nice to get some information on this. Dunno what all this secrecy is about tbh.

Are we really pretending that only Lithuania, Latvia and the Netherlands are unhappy at the lack of LED screens
I don't know. I just tried to translate with few words what was written in that article and on eurofestival news platform . La Stampa isn't a very friendly newspaper.

Yes but you have been frequently downplaying just how much of a mess this staging situation is
Not at all. I just send a message yesterday where I expressed my feelings about the negative and toxic tsunami coming from the ESC community. I'm not downgrading the problem at all, but until now we have had only some non confirmed news. Even the countries that have apparently complained haven't had any press conference. Soon we will have an official version and during the second rehearsals the press conferences will be opened to the press and the truth will come out.

Can't they simply take the damn sun off the stage and let artists use led screen in the background? ESC 2021 had some world class stagings and this years stagings are going to look more like 2008 than 2022 with that sun.

Nope, they can't. To remove that sun structure they would have to completely disassemble the entire stage.

So nobody can have just a full LED screen because the sun will always be there in the middle?

Not necessarily... If they somehow manage to rotate the sun by 180°, the led part of the sun, which apparently is working without any problem, will face the arena. But then another problem would appear: some delegations don't use led's, but use lights. Unfortunately, there is only one thing to do: try to repair the engine, otherwise the stage will remain that way. I don't think there is any other possible solution.

My musical dedication to the ESC Italian sun this year. Let's mock this drama. 🤣

Also a version from Italians so that nobody can get offended 🤣
