The Rasmus from Finland rehearsed their song Jezebel for the first time at the PalaOlimpico in Turin.

LOL! Luckily Norway is in the other SF. If not, they are like fighting who can outdo each other by having the most yellow in the performance.

Finlands staging photos looks very lively. I wonder if we will see the animated girl somewhere. But purely based on this I would say there is a lot going on. Problem remains the vocals, just like Austria. But again, also this song doesn't need that much jurysupport to qualify for the final - a good televotescore seems likely and could be enough for at least going to the final.

If I heard right, the live performance and staging of Finland is going to reference a little bit movie called "It". I have also heard, that those animations of UMK live performance are gone, so we are not going to see animated girl.

I see the Italian fans in here being really worked up over any kind of criticism and that`s makes me wonder: Have you been paying attention in those past couple years? People on social media in particular always have something to bitch about. Some of them are rude, some of them aren`t. Just idk don`t take it personally. Let them cry over nothing. I am sure things will be fine in the end and even if it`s not going to be "the perfect contest", so what? The world wont stop turning because of that. Back in the first Semi in 2011 commentators didn`t have a functioning line for most of the show and had to use some phones. Is anyone still talking about that? No.
Also ... I find it kinda uhm let`s say funny that Italians are going nuts over receiving (unfair) criticism considering that (in my experience) Italian fans are usually one of the more vocal factions *cough* within the fandom and haven`t been shy of throwing shade in the past. Not necessarily in here but on social media. So yeah ... you reap what you sow. Just treat others how you want to be treated and just chiiiiillll.

Yes, I do expect the artist (their staging team, respectively) to have a plan B. I don’t expect them to have two completely differing stagings but since there is always the possibility that there will be technical issues they should at least know how to cope with it and offer a more minimalistic staging then.

What if the, let‘s say, stairs in Russia 2016 or Greece/Switzerland 2021 suddenly didn’t work. They should have a plan B how to behave on stage and what to do to compensate this.

Eric Saade complained in 2011 that he wasn’t allowed to break all four glass walls of his cage (it was reduced to one iirc). I loved the song but - he should have stopped whining and artists in general stop using complicated stagings. Saade had a plan B and it worked out as well. So let’s say if he could not break 3 of 4 walls of glass due to TECHNICAL reasons, he had to come up with a plan B that doesn’t include breaking glass. As simple as it is.

Hmmm. Interesting they have one of the dancers in black. I wonder if they have a different color outfit to see how it looks on stage. Seems like they are keeping the red + white palette from the X Factor Israel performance. I think we are going to have a very simple performance from Israel this year.

It was there in Finland's performance. But it looks like it's gone in Israel's one. Strange.
Edit: Seems like Israel brought their own physical backdrop and cover the sun. LOVE IT!

OK, Israel's staging mystery solved. They brought their own LED lights which they hung up to cover the kinetic sun (you can see the wires hanging the LED lights and still see the bottom of the kinetic sun below). What a clever way to do this. Props to the delegation and Marvin Dietmann.

Not Serbia having the almost the same outfit and red lightings with Israel. I thought the producer of the show said they will try not to have similar staging palette side by side (or something along the lines). This is ridiculous.

Somehow it does but unfortunately, I think that the huge black baloons would have even look better if there had been the yellow LED in the back.

Last year, we had Cyprus opening the final and Albania getting that death slot.
Both performances bascially consisted of the same shade of red, a lot of black and both female singers basically had the same outift (some sort of).
