I think the only country in danger of withdrawing is Bulgaria, and Portugal and Bosnia seem likely to be back. So, I'm expecting 40/41 countries in Denmark

Am I the only one who doesn't wish for a Turkish entry next year? I for one enjoyed their lack of presence in the contest. They came off self righteous last year and that put me off incredibly. I hope they don't return and convince Azerbaijan to withdraw also but that is wishful thinking. I so however hope for a Portuguese and Bosnian return next year and I hope the Balkan states don't withdraw given their extremely poor showing this year.

Seconded there! I wonder if Turkey does come back, what excuse will they make up - as in, will they suddenly accept the Big 5 countries?

Make that three. I enjoyed it a lot more without them there, it mixed things up a little because of huge turkish disporia wasn't there. So i was wondering where the points from Netherlands, Germany and France would go, and from neighboring countries like Azerbaijan and Bulgaria. I hope they don't come back this year because as you said: they're self righteous. I also hope Kazakhstan doesn't debut either.

That's so true. I'm glad that Azerbaijan didn't get all the diaspora votes and I don't yearn for Turkey in next year's contest either.

To be honest I agree. If Turkey comes back to have the same atittude I would rather prefer they don't returno. Portugal is almost 100% in. Not only did RTP broadcast the whole show, but the final actually had decent ratings compared to RTP's usual disasters, even with around 0 promotion.

I'm glad most agree about Turkey and I really hope Portugal is 100% in! They always send beautiful songs (except 2011) and never receive what they should receive! I would also enjoy a Luxembourg and Monaco return as all 3 countries usually sing in their native languages and that is what I miss about Eurovision

15 Countries and it's a week ago the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 final was here.

Is it just me or is the confirmation slow?

Not really. Compared with RTP's usual ratings at saturdays nights it was good. Usually RTP gets a share of 7-10%, while eurovision had 13%. And it got pretty much 0 promotion.

It seems really fast for me actually. Only a week and 15 countries! At this rate we'll have 780 entries! Somehow!

I think there's a chance for a withdraw from The UKxshock

France is the only Big 5 with a big chance of withdrawing.

Broadcaster don't care about results or friendly voting, all they care about is rating. As long as Eurovision is watched there, people won't care that much about the results.
