As long as they skip allowing pre-recorded background vocals I wouldn't mind 2 more people allowed on stage.

I'm no expert but there are programmes out there that manage to have more than 6 people on a stage. I'm sure 25 years ago the idea of having semi finals, pyrotechnics, eastern countries participating, junior eurovision, televoting, led screens, no orchestra, 30,000 seater arenas. All these things have been made possible, so why cant we advance in allowing more people on stage, I dont even think 50 dancers is outrageous. But I would say lift it to 20.

- I want the interval act to well... include typical Swedish themes. Folk dances, folk music, national costumes... U NAME IT! Cliché?? Well it would be for many countries, but in Sweden celebrating SWEDEN is totally taboo. But I hope they drop their PC thinking and understand that this is an opportunity to showcase Sweden to Europe. People want to see what they associate with Sweden, people want to see what's Swedish traditions. They don't want to see some HipHop dancers from Swedish suburbs or Iraqi Belly dancers, I am very certain Europe wants to see SWEDEN so PLZ SVT... SPARE US those ideas (because I KNOW you have them!). Since we barely showcase our traditions, language and music culture in ESC, I hope we atleast can do it this way. But of course it's SVT... so it'll most probably be disastrous interval acts like we had in the German edition (sorry Germany !), which would have no connection to Sweden what-so-ever and would just look odd to the general European viewer.

You could do much worse. I fear we're going to get an ABBA medley from Carola, Charlotte Perelli, and two of the Herreys.

Sarah Dawn Finer should definitely host - I absolutely adore her :)

I know that she wasn't everyone's cup of tea, but I thought Gina did a really good job of co-hosting MF 2012 - some of the sketches and intro peformances she did with Sarah were awesome. :D

Well as awfully kitch and cliché that sounds, if it's between that and suburb hiphop fools, I guess I'd go for the ABBA medley.

At least there's a chance they'll actually sing it correctly, unlike Dima Bilan and Ell&Nikki.

Saw this on 1 other forum:

According to reliable sources, Helena Paparizou is approached by SVT for ESC hosting (with Måns Zelmerlöw and Sarah Dawn Finer).

I really hope that this is true xcheer

Helena? Host? She doesn't have much personality imo. Dunno why SVT pays her so much attention when she always said no to MF. It's not as if she's "all that". Yeah she won Eurovision, but in Sweden she has more or less no career and haven't had that for years now.

And Måns as host doesn't come as a chock... boring though that SVT won't think outside the box. It could be worse though I guess.

Sarah I'm fine with.

How the hell are we going to fit in 20-50 dancers in one greenroom both?
Maybe not everyone would like to have it but lets say 20 countrys has it = 1000 dancers in green room..

I want from next year, some countries randomly to vote with the old traditional way (1 point goes to, 2 points go to..., 12 points for...) to do the show more exciting!

]If Victoria Silvstedt hosted the show, I think I'd want to crawl under a rock somewhere out of embarrassment. Might as well give the job to Kissie or Paulina Starborn while you're at it[/B]. I don't want boring and safe, but I don't want pathetic and dumb either. Sarah Dawn Finer either as herself or in various characters would be awesome.

As for the stage, while I like LCD screens, I don't want it to be only screens back there. The way it's been for the past few years is that the stage looks way too empty when there's nothing on it. I'd prefer some kind of backdrop structures on stage, framing it in a bit. Just something to make it interesting.

lol i freakin love u bro u just saved me from making a rage post about how utterly retarded the idea of victoria hosting the eurovision is

As far as I know Victoria Silvstedt has a MENA IQ, and comparing a self-made woman who actually made a name of herself with two dumbed-down bloggers, I have to say is probably based on some pre-idea about these people. Why I use the term "Jante"? Because in Sweden it really sticks in people's eyes with these blonde bombshells who are outspoken and a bit controversial, it's not the current norm to be like that.

I think most hosts have been bad, but I was referring to SVT in general though (because I guess they''ll not surprise us and pick some of their own people?). I mean for instance when we hosted this in 2000 we hade the utterly boring Kattis Ahlström (not ugly perhaps.. but zero personality) and the both ugly and boring Anders Lundin. I mean if THESE are the best SVT could pick, then we have a problem!

Atleast we agree on this one! And yes indeed it would be typically SVT and although it fit THEIR political agenda, it will just leave the European viewers either bored or ad question-marks. I hope they realize that this is an opportunity to showcase Sweden to Europe, they don't want our PC cr*p so I hope they won't go down that route, it'll just look ridiculous.

I meant in terms of views on society, politics etc. But I don't know you so I only refer to some posts I read.

u know that victoria barley remembers how to speak swedish right ?

Her skills in swedish doesn't really matter since the actual show won't be in swedish, only her english and possibly her french skills matter.

Linda Bengtzing is a guilty pleasure of mine, one of the few schlager acts I can actually tolerate because she brings something fresh to the table.

Actually, that could be good. They probably won't let all of them vote like that, but I personally miss it because now it's not as exciting any longer.
