Exactly! I don't trust SVT and the organizers for a second! :D

Wow, where has the world gone? I mean we TOTALLY agree now! :)
Haha I know! I expect a meteor colliding with the earth any second now.

I wrote to SVT Melodifestivalen on Facebook and got a response:

Tack för dina synpunkter, vi räknar med att kunna presentera en arena efter sommaren.

/Mirja, SVT

"Vi expect to be able to present an arena after the summer."

A friend of mine tells me Gothenburg is out and it is now between Stockholm and Malmö. And one of the four members of the core SVT team is head of SVT Malmö. Oh dear. Choosing any city other than Stockholm would be a disaster. Might as well have given it to Copenhagen if Malmö is chosen...that is where all the tourist money and visits will go anyway in that case.

Oh God, can they be any more stupid (well it's SVT, so I guess there's no limit for stupidity ), but seriously? We're hosting this and will spend quite some money on this, and they want another country benefit the most of it?

I agree, if this is the plan, they could hand it over to Copenhagen as we speak, because they will benefit the most economically anyways.

And why have the MF final in a new arena for 60.000 people and the ESC in a smaller one for just around for 15.000 people? It doesn't make sense.

I wouldn't be surprised if they choose Malmö to make some sort of idiotic political statement (as always the case with SVT)... What's the next step? Now I just wait for them to announce Anna Gina as a hostess and atleast Israel will withdraw for sure.

I mean a hostess that compared Israel with Nazis in a city which is openly anti-semitic, that has a mayor talking about Jewish conspiracies against him and being blacklisted by the Simon Wiesenthal Center... it's like officially telling atleast Israel "We don't want you to participate here". If this will be the case, I will boycott ESC here.

There's an economical loss in choosing Malmö, and also it gives a bad public image for us in general.

Clearly SVT reads messages sent to it (whether by email or on the FB page - SVT Melodifestivalen) so I urge everyone to send them a message and put forward the (obvious) case for Stockholm. Fingers crossed...

Quite frankly I've had it with SVT, they're so far up their Green-Left **** I couldn't be bothered. They are arrogant and undemocratic, still deluding themselves that they are "the only free unbiased voice of Sweden" ... my ***

But someone could sum up the essence and try to make them understand atleast that Copenhagen and Denmark would be the major benefiter of Malmö being the host and not Sweden.

I am really looking forward to Sweden next year, because it expect them to top the best Eurovisions so far - Finland 2007, Norway 2010.

The Finnish stage and visualisations (best LED ever) and\or the Norwegian stage and atmospheric light effects....

The Finnish cute hosts and the Norwegian cute interval acts and a quality of songs like in 2010.....

A scoreboard like in 2007.

that would be awesome!!

I had a bizarre dream last night about Eurovision 2013 in Sweden.

Somebody sent a giant singing spider as their entry. Then Alexandra Burke rushed the stage begging people to vote for the singing spider. She (Alexandra) was dragged off the stage kicking and screaming support for the singing spider.

Now I'm not saying I want somebody to sent a giant singing spider next year, but it would definitely be interesting.

Unfortunately, for you, animals are not allowed on stage and the acts must be human

Malmö apparently is demanding an answer from SVT as other parties want to book the arena as well for different events.
