Putting greece and cyprus in different semi final groups as with Scandinavian countries and Balkan countries mixing it up a little.

Well, that's what they're trying to do already. The Nordic countries were indeed mixed, however it's still beyond me that more or less ALL ex-Yugo countries managed to be in one semi.. something wrong with the pots?

Cyprus' only life-line seem to be Greece though :/ Azerbaijan and Turkey should be divided for sure, they're the new Greece-Cyprus and both already collect enough from the rest so no need for that extra biased 12.

I think the motto should be "Sing for democracy" :p

 how cliché

Define democracy though.. afterall this is Sweden (de facto flawed democracy) and not Switzerland (probably the most democratic state in the world)... people tend to mix our countries up alot

Hard to say but I admit I expect one of the greatest ESC's ever ;)

The Host-city should be Stockholm!
A "fresh" Theme would be great, just something diffrent from the last 2 years (wich were great btw ;) ). "Light your fire!" had big potential wich was not used ! So, please WORK with the choosen theme for 2013 (Maybe "Euphoria") and don'T let it go down somewhere on the edge :D
The best Themes for me were: True Fantasy (2007) Confluence of Sound (2008) and Share the moment (2010) because they were present all the time during the shows and on the streets and so on!

The Stage thing is difficult! It depends on the capicity of the choosen venue ! If they choose Friends Arena (I hope so) with around 60 000 seats it would be very illogical to built a small stage like Oslo 2010 or Belgrad 2008. So I would go for a Mixture of 2009,2010 and 2012. A big Arena needs a huuuuuuge Stage ;) and a looooooot of LED'S :D and greaaaaaaaat Lighteffects.

I hope you understand what I am trying to say because I got this bad feeling that my english isn't 100%-understandable :p :D

Democracy (grecian Δημοκρατία, from δῆμος [dēmos], „Masses“, and κρατία [kratía], „Rule“, literal: Rules of the Masses) is an egalitarian form of government in which all the citizens of a nation together determine public policy, the laws and the actions of their state, requiring that all citizens (meeting certain qualifications) have an equal opportunity to express their opinion. In practice, "democracy" is the extent to which a given system approximates this ideal, and a given political system is referred to as "a democracy" if it allows a certain approximation to ideal democracy.

Lol I study these things so I know what it is... there are many definitions though, especially in modern theories.

Anyways that's off-topic

Yeah, I'm thinking somewhere along these lines. I would organize the semi-finals into regional events. So only a certain number of entries from East and West would get through, reducing the monopoly. Anything else would require more than 2 semis, which is probably unworkable.

I'd like Sweden to brand itself as the land of Snow. They should build 3 towers, called the Snow Towers, and feature them on every postcard. The King's son-in-law should sing the interval act. And half of Stockholm should be bulldozed (it doesnt matter if the arena has already been built, or even if the show isnt in Stockholm)

If any area of Stockholm should be bulldozed I'd vote for Norrmalm/Klara. It's already been bulldozed before, back in the 60s, where they tore down lots of old and beautiful 18th and 19th century buildings to make room for ugly modern business complexes. Blasphemy I tell you! Away with it all!

This made me laugh pretty hard - those bloomin' Flame Towers blighting every postcard in ESC 2012!! :p

Stockholm is the only choice - I've been saying that I've been wanting to go back there for the past 11 years, so now I definitely have to do it next May!! :D

I too would like to see a more inventive/quirky use of the postcards!(I thought Serbia did a decent job in 2007).

I felt like jabbing myself in the eye with a teaspoon upon seeing the Maiden Tower, Flame Tower, Flame phallic object for the 50+ times. I'm not a fan of when the host country uses their postcards to simply promote tourism. I understand why they do it, but Sweden has no need, everyone knows it's awesome sauce.

And I don't really care too much for ESC presenters, as long as they're not incredibly wooden and regurgitate bad jokes all night long... Okay, wishful thinking.

She's really funny, outgoing and almost like a caricature of the cliché Swedish female.. she'd be an AWESOME choice! :)

And yes, she can speak French aswell (unlike most hosts).

But I bet you a million SVT doesn't have the balls to get someone like her to host... they'd rather have some ugly woman who is boring as hell... trust me I can just feel how they think. They think that ugly should be promoted... and I'm ok with that IF the hosts/tv personalities were actually GOOD... but problem is they are NOT...

I have a feeling she will be the hostess! :D YAY! And sorry A-lister but I actually want Måns with her! I found him great in 2010!

I think it should be held in Stockholm, the Friends Arena would be perfect! :)
My ideal female host is Sarah Dawn Finer, possibly alongside Victoria Silvstedt and hmm... either Mans Zelmerlow or (dare I say it) that Bjorn Ranelid guy from Melodifestivalen this year... he seemed like a fun guy :D
I'd love for Sweden to send Lykke Li, Robyn or September, but I just don't think they'd do it which is a real shame... otherwise I'd quite like to see Timoteij with a song more like Kom, rather than Stormande Hav..
:)

I'm all for Stockholm.

Goteborg is a nice city too but i just think there was a change in the organisation of big events this recent years and that people want to go to capital or to the main cities like Istanbul for Turkey. The world has just gotten bigger and people don't want anymore to go to Lille, my city, Bordeaux, Lyon or Bursa, or Izmir, they want Istanbul & Paris.

I really deplore it and i think there is some exceptions like the Athelics in Daegu and the Eurovision in Dusseldorf but i would be really surprise to see any major event and the eurovision going anywhere else than a capital city the next years or maybe let's say Barcelona or Saint Petersbourg or Istanbul again instead of Ankara but that's it.

Would really be amazed it's the swedish broadcaster decides otherwise, besides it's not like the other cities could really fight that hard with Stockholm in term of capacity, transports, etc!

I know its not up to Sweden, but I would like to see the 6 people on stage lifted to allow more people. When there is not enough people, entries compensate for more elaborate performances which make the show look cheap and outdated. The stages are now huge and look empty.

Here are some examples of performances that I think could have used more people to better themselves

Bringing props on did not work for Estonia. Having dancers to match the song may have benefited

I know the song may not be great. But a few extra burlesque dancers would go a long way.

You can see trhey wanted a lot of people they even brought screens with people on

Anybody else see where I am coming from

Yep but the problem is that some people may want to bring 50 people to stage, that would be a logistical nightmare!

But they could increase the number from 6 to 8
