Well let us hope that they get the votes they deserve and that we see them in the final in a few weeks' time!

Is it just me, or does she look like Ruslana in this one?

Personally, I think that Marta sometimes resembles Katharine Hepburn (probably because of her eyes, cheekbones and ironic humour). Not that much on the pictures above though, but definitely in some videos, especially in the escXtra interview.

But funny thing about your comparison is that among Czech celebrities, there actually is one person which always somehow reminds me of Ruslana (in her younger and hotter years), and coincidentally, she is wife of...

I can´t believe it. Even Måns Zelmerlöw´s promo page wiwibloggs now has something positive to say about Czechs:

Marta and Václav talk lions and hippos at London Eurovision Party:

"Marta Jandová and Vaclav Noid Barta, the singers representing the Czech Republic at Eurovision 2015, have just won the award for “Most Hilarious wiwibloggs Interviewees 2015″. Before our camera even started rolling they had us cackling. And then when the camera started rolling they told us all about their experiences at a zoo with peeing hippos and lions. Seriously, don’t ask, just watch!

The Czech representatives also spoke candidly about perceptions of Eurovision in the Czech Republic, their families coming with them to Vienna, Vaclav’s potential role as a tattooed Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar and their obvious sexual tension. No matter what you think of their song, surely you will love them.

We love that Marta and Vaclav have so much fun together and that they still manage to nail their song “Hope Never Dies” live. After their appearance on Czech TV, the duo sang the song live for a second time in London, and what a great performance it was. They may be joking and on the edge of laughter, but it doesn’t really matter — “Hope Never Dies” keeps its dramatic halo and their voices sound even better than in the studio version. Take a look at their performance in London."

I was hoping for the same people who were in the previous "expert jury" which would prevent giving points to Russia. But it doesn´t look bad anyway.

Jaroslav Špulák is, sadly, chief-editor of cultural section of leftist newspaper "Právo". But also collaborator of Czech music festival Rock for People, author of several publications about rock and he also wrote a novel called "Poke both of her eyes out". :)

Jan Maxián is actor, composer of musical Quasimodo and former member of very popular funny band called Nightwork.

Jitka Benešová is very well known person from Czech national radio and she was probably the first Czech female DJ.

Vladimír Bár is from Czech radio as well. For many years he was a head of music department there. He is also former member of some 1960s rock-bands.

Honza Dědek is described as "DJ + music writer", but he is reputable music journalist and host of funny internet talk show "7 pádů" at first place.

The only one who is completely unknown to me is Petr Král.

Nooooooooooooooooooo! You obviously appreciate good music by sending "Hope Never Dies"! Why spoil that reputation by giving votes to Finland?

Hi! Well, I can't promise anything, I'm currently quite busy studying and working, but whenever I have some free time I'll try to come here and post regulary. Anyway thank you very much for your warm welcome, it's nice to see so many Czechs in this forum, I hope the best for Marta and Vaclav in Viena, and before I forget it, I'm going to participate in the ranking game and give you 10 points! ;)

@miroslav, the reply messages don't actually reply underneath the message to which you were replying. Don't worry about it! It took me a while to get used to how this place works too! Welcome, and we hope to see you often, as long as it doesn't affect your studying ofc!

Thank you so much! I hope it doesn't take me so much time, I can't see myself entering to this forum and wasting the little free time I might have trying to understand how each option and each tool works here. xD
Thank you once again, I can feel here a great cozy atmosphere, I'm still a beginner but the few people who have answered me have done it very kindly (including you, of course) that is definitely a good reason to stay here for a long time :D
Regards from Slovakia!

Well I had an advantage in getting used to this place: My boyfriend introduced me to it all ( lavieenrose) so I have always had help when I need it! Just one warning. I joined less than two months ago. I had no intention of getting addicted. Over 200 posts later...

Good news for Marta! Johannes Strate, singer of Revolverheld (she had a duet with them, once) is head of the german jury, so Czech Republic will get high points from our jury ;)
