Time for the Czech Republic’s first rehearsal in 6 years! Both singers are very strong vocally and the stage is set with moody lighting and a grey backdrop with multiple mirrors. Both singers are often facing away from the camera though, especially Vaclav. It’s only during the mid part of the song that they approach each other but don’t appear in many shots together. Towards the end Marta throws her shoes off and the stage explodes into orange hues as the last chorus kicks in. Very visually strong and Czech Republic should be well on their way to achieving their best result (not that this is difficult) (Sean)

Czech Republic are the last on stage for tonight. The setting is very dark, there are spinning mirrors on the LED backdrop (very reminiscent of the stage when Vienna hosted it for the first time). In the beginning Vaclav and Marta are standing on opposite sides. Throughout the performance they get closer and closer to each other. When the climax kicks in Marta takes off her heels and throws them away. Not sure if that looks effective or just odd. Vocally both are very strong. The whole thing is very simple but solid. The final shot where Vaclav and Marta approach each other looks great. They hug each other and at the very end only their dark silhouettes can be seen. Very effective. (Anselm)
