The instrumental version is actually quite nice. I still think this is a borderline qualifier.

And now the Czech thread reaches 1000 posts...woooot

They are both so charming. I love the ESCKAZ interview. Marta has a great sense of humourxrofl2 They've secured my vote anyway. I hope we can get Czech Republic to the final for the first time. They both seem genuinely lovely people and they have a wonderful song. I think they'll deserve it. Marta is right as well, politely putting that too many of the songs are similar this year. Many are indistinguishable.

In your dreams buddy, I mean

"Wait for me I’m lost I’ve gone astray"

It's ok Vaclav, I haven't lost trust in you.

Oooo, hang on, isn't he heading to Manchester tomorrow...? After all, it is my birthday in a few days! :p

DISCLAIMER: I do not have people tracking Vaclav's movements. They're all too busy following Uzari...

Aww, these interviews
I wish them all the best in Vienna, I might be biased, but I really think our song is genuinely one of the best ballads this year, their vocals are flawless and powerful + they are both very likeable  Hope never dies xcrossed

From reviews of London Party:

Sofabet.com:

"Also of particular interest were the three acts not seen in Amsterdam: the Czech Republic, Malta and Switzerland. All three showed strong vocals, the Czech pair especially. Marta and Vaclav looked like they had been making the most of the bar, but they didn’t let that affect their powerful performance of ‘Hope Never Dies’. I do wish the song was more dynamic for the sake of both them and their country, with its hopeless Eurovision record."

Esctips.com:

(after criticizing Knez) "The same can’t be said for the Czech Republic’s Marta & Václav. I’ve often resembled Václav’s vocals to a detuned lawnmower, but last night, I found Hope Never Dies a more enjoyable 3-minutes. The Czechs are certainly pushing the right buttons for qualification."

Eurovisiontimes:

"The performances that made me prick up my ears were Czech Republic, Australia, Switzerland, Cyprus, and my personal favourite Norway.

Marta Jandová & Václav Noid Bárta (Czech Republic) performed ‘Hope never dies‘. Although a well structured song, it hadn’t wowed me up ’til now, but Marta and Václav have huge personalities and bounce off each other with great humour, and this infuses their live performance with lots of emotional energy. I’m looking forward to seeing them bring this into the Stadthalle at Vienna.
"

xyes

Only the wiwibloggs review of the event was - as usual - almost all dedicated to Måns Zelmerlöw, barely mentioning other performers (not a word about Czech Republic).

THAT was how I found it for ages at first! Finally, an accurate way of saying how I felt! :p
