Vaclav looked rather uncomfortable on stage at some points, but that last note was incredible. xheat
Dare I say it, this arrangement sounds better than the studio one IMO.

Btw, there was a bunch of people who criticized their performance, mostly the stage presence - Marta replied on Facebook saying the fact they were just standing there next to each other was the director's order and it was boring and it's definitely going to be different in Vienna

It's the only song with rock elements in 2nd Semifinal.
They should make good use of it.

Maybe not as strongly in the new version, but if we define "rock" loosely enough to include this, it definitely includes Portugal, too.

This is surely not rock? Or at least, not rock as I would understand it!

In comparison to the pop songs we have this year it might pass as "rock". It kinda reminds me of Jonsi & Greta 2012, wich - by the way - was my favourite song that year. Never forget was kinda "rock" themed too without actually being classic rock.

Anyway, I ask all of you who are able to vote in Semi 2, please save at least one vote for Marta & Vaclav....they deserve it so much!

Wouldn't it be great and surprising and therefore making the competition interesting if the Czech Republic is in the final?

I will definitely vote for them, promised :)

I was waiting for someone to make a "Never Forget" comparison; it absolutely fits.

I think it would be more convincing with an ad like this : "1 vote = 1 hug from Václav". And Czech Republic is in the final xqueenbitch

It's the only song with rock elements in 2nd Semifinal.
They should make good use of it.

When I heard the song for the first time, I also believed that it could be more rock-ish and was quite skeptical to their interview statements about "pure and simple performance with only their voices as a stand-out element", but since I heard the recent version, it somehow started to make more sense to me. I seriously think that all this asking for a rock is based more on a prejudice "they look like rockers, so they should sing rock" than on the song itself. The calmer instrumentation of it seems to have a more positive emotional impact on listeners (including me).

However, I agree with the general criticism of their passivity on stage. It´s the same problem as with British and Norwegian duos - they should find a way how to interact more on stage, how to perform more "together" than "next to each other".

I have to agree with you there Ritararita. They did seem a little wooden at times which is a shame. Maybe take a leaf out of "This Time"'s book and get a little closer?

Didn't Marta said they didn't interact more because the director of the show told them not too?

It´s cute how they believe that while speaking in English, they must also pronounce their names more "English" - Maahrrta and Waclav. ;)
nofuxCZ How typical. I really don´t know what is the point of articles like this. I think it´s author should meet Marta, Václav and Václav´s arms in person and tell them this face to face. That could be amusing situation.
