Considering I didn't even expect to qualify from the semi-finals, ending up 6th in the final is insanely overwhelming and I'm so happy I took the chance with this band. :p

I wanted to go with an NF this edition but since I'm PQ I'd much rather send an old guilty pleasure of mine which I've been thinking about sending for ages. The band got their break-through about 3-4 years ago with the song you're about to hear and has since then remained a musical icon among mostly young people here. The song contains strong sexual undertones and if you have a horse you might not wanna listen to it..."feeding the horse" as a daily duty might never ever be the same again.

Yes, I'm gonna change my entry.
"I love your face" is kind of an odd-ball but also strangely appealing song by estonian electro-artist Kali Briis. Plus, it's accompanied by a really cute music-video that really fits the atmosphere in the song. It's likely not a song you fall instantly in love with, but as for me, I found myself turning back to it again and again, and ended up really digging it. :D

Without further ado I will announce the winner right now. Despite a record-low number of four voters only I decided to carry on with NF and let our 4 voters decide the entry. Luckily, the high points were in harmony and weren't just scattered all over 9 different entries, which with just four voters could've forced me to go for an alternative option than holding an NF.

With 42 points, it is with great pleasure that I introduce (to most of you at least) the winner of the Zoidician NF...

ZOIDIAC - NSC 86

Aesthetic Perfection - All Beauty Destroyed

Zoidiac will be represented by Aesthetic Perfection, an american electro-industrial group with the single "All beauty destroyed" from their most recently released album of the same name. If you're expecting a fist-pumping electronic inferno you might be greatly disappointed though, as this song is nowhere near that. Instead, "All beauty destroyed" is an emotional, atmospheric, gothic ballad that you might find comparable to IAMX's "Bernadette" in some ways. This is the 2nd edition Doire hosts, and we have our fingers crossed that this group will be more successful than The National ended up being last time we visited Doire. :)

And now to something completely different...

Zoidiac's heading out for another adventure, and this time we've hired the Brazilian electro-pop trio, Banda Uó, who have internally been given the incredible honor of representing Zoidiac in Pigeon Island. With their infectiously catchy single "Faz UÓ", Banda Uó will guarantee shaking hips and shocking faces once the NSC-crowd has been exposed to the dangerous mix of a cheap chalga-like backing beat, dubstep, and an effective chorus that will most certainly be stuck in your mind like a disease after a couple of listens. Never have so many gay hipsters been seen in one video. :mrgreen:

For NSC 89 we have chosen a world-famous Canadian DJ, it's no less than deadmau5! In "Professional Griefers", a catchy and at the same time edgy and fist-pumping dance-track, he has teamed up with Gerard Way who may not ring a bell to most of you, but to your information I can tell that he's the vocalist of My Chemical Romance. :p

I was actually overly surprised that deadmau5 hasn't been taken part before, so I hope he will make a decent debut in the NSC-arena.

You might have to elaborate that, I've checked wikia several times and haven't found neither song nor artist to have taken part any edition. :p

EDIT: Oh forget it, late-night song announcements apparently fail for me. Typo is fixed. :lol:
