Well, my prediction is probably way off, but whatever nobody is going to blame me for a bad prediction. Croatia will be the big surprise of the evening.
Not bad in the end. Croatia wasn't the surprise of this semi though.

Many favourites didn’t impress me tonight. A bit sad about Lithuania not qualifying. It was so cute and soothing and simple!!! Having said that, most of the staging was terrible tonight and the camera men did a terrible job. Hard to watch some songs.

Yesterday I made a mistake not going on any of my crazy gut feelings, so now I'm overcompensating and going on all of them.

I am really really annoyed by most of the stagings. Most of them were just horrible.
Kudos to Austria. I don’t like the song nor her voice but the staging was brilliant. The best tonight.
Denmark, Croatia and Ireland were a pain in the ass.
Romania‘s staging was good though but I guess it scared some people...
Qualifiers were no surprise apart from Denmark „which is a song that wouldn‘t even be played on TV on a channel for children“ (said our commentator).
I myself was a bit surprised about the Netherlands, unfortunately not in a positive way. I didn’t like the volume of his voice. Imo it must have been sung with a softer voice. Also, I had the impression he sang a tiny bit too fast. Plus, the piano is still not the best choice. But, I have to admit the part with that light ball is great. I‘m not so sure that he will win that clearly on Saturday. He may be the juries‘ No. 1 probably because they had time enough to get hyped but the public... don’t know.
Italy was also very underwhelming and the Sisters were great!!! Say what you want but for me they are still amongst the best! Top 5 material.

Qualifiers:
9/10. I was disappointed by Albania who really messed up the backing track of an exciting song and she failed to deliver in the performance, yet I'm happy she made it anyway. I missed Denmark which turned out to be a fun and nice song. Armenia was my favourite, she was fabulous and she was robbed of a well-deserved finale spot. Maybe I would trade Albania for Armenia?
