Based on the first rehearsal, I think that... will qualify:
Switzerland, Russia, The Netherlands, North Macedonia, Albania, Austria, Sweden, Denmark, Malta and Azerbaijan.

Personally, I would prefer Lithuania instead of Russia.
And I would have loved to see Ireland in the final since I do like "22" but the vocals as well as the staging were utterly horrendous. It will probaby end up being last :(

I hope Austria will be saved by the juries.

Yesterday I made a mistake not going on any of my crazy gut feelings, so now I'm overcompensating and going on all of them. I can't get it out of my head that North Macedonia will struggle with the juries much more than we seem to think, and I truly do not understand the case for Denmark which has kept them on the qualifier list for so long. Meanwhile, there's Latvia right there, every bit as "omg so authentic" musically and more accessible. The odds say that Albania, Romania, or Austria might be next in line if we're getting some misses, but I think Romania and Albania are both a little bit doomed, and I can't get Georgia from last night out of my head re: Austria - a song which improves their chances during rehearsals but not enough to be in the qualifier zone and we as a community mistake their improvement for safety. Ireland are not qualifying; I love everything about it so god damn much but there is no WAY. At that point, it's for me a battle between Kseniya Simonova with something a gigantic step down from her previous attempt, Jacques Houdek with something a gigantic step down from his previous attempt, and Lolita Zero's vocalist with something a gigantic step down from his previous attempt. I labored over that choice, but I think Roko might have an "aw, bless" quality that we're underrating (because in no world with justice is it there to any extent close to what Jacques had). Norway has been getting some press as a potential miss, but I think they're safe. Comparison points strike me as kind of helpful, and the one I have in my head is "Nova Deca" from last year. Especially in a semi without a ton that feels classically "Eurovision," I think people will like it enough. Armenia could still sing their way out of the final tonight and tomorrow night, but I doubt it'll be QUITE enough to miss completely. Interesting semi in that there are six songs which feel UNTOUCHABLY safe (watch Malta I guess but not very closely) then quite a bit of openness.

Well, my prediction is probably way off, but whatever nobody is going to blame me for a bad prediction. Croatia will be the big surprise of the evening.

I think I've decided on the ten countries I think will qualify tonight...in no particular order...

:se: Sweden
:ru: Russia
:az: Azerbaijan
:al: Albania
:ch: Switzerland
:nl: Netherlands
 Norway
:ro: Romania
:mt: Malta
:at: Austria (I think it might just slip through)

Borderline: North Macedonia, Lithuania, Denmark, Armenia
Out: Latvia, Croatia, Ireland, Moldova

I'm a little unsure about Armenia, Lithuania, Denmark and North Macedonia though. They could maybe slip through I'm not sure.

I'm curious what Malta's staging is like, because it seems like the kind of song that could fail if the staging isn't done right or if the performance isn't strong. I'm also wondering if maybe we're overrating Romania a little bit this year, I definitely wouldn't place it as a sure qualifier...

My guess is that 9/10 are very predictable and very hardly to fail unless the sing very bad (predictions are made without seeing any reharsal, I want each singer to surprise me in the live)

1 :nl:
2 :ru:
3 :se:
4 :ch:
5 :az:
6
7 :mt:
8 :am:
9 :ro:

the 10th position is the only one which is available for the remaining 9 countries and I guess :mk:

If i have to judge my personal taste this won't be the list as I would put :hr: and :al: in while :ro: and :se: out, but this will never happens.
