Salmon but it's kinda annoying isn't it?

Pfft... not at all. In fact, I simply can't get enough of that awesome feeling when the notifications button turns blue :D

It's not called inbox?
You know when we have many notifications we have to clean or inbox

inbox its place of private messages (max 50), noticifications are not included to it

about this option, I say again - its test period (to know how it work and get your opinions)

greece It's not your inbox. It's a notification. You click on the blue link which will then break it out whether you received a like, quote, tag or private message. This does not affect your inbox.

If you're going to have such a feature, at least make it so that you can switch it off, even the notifications on the forum. If you're someone who rarely checks threads, I can see why this might be useful. But it's going to be incredibly annoying getting notifications when you might be actively checking the thread anyway.

you wouldn't be notified unless someone mentions or quotes you. So only responses relevant to your discussions should show up

I'm personally not really annoyed by it for myself, but I do see many members complaining about it. A simple checkbox in the personal settings wouldn't really be so hard to implement, would it? xcheer

No sure if this is a language barrier but 'whatever' is basically the equivalent to 'I don't care'. So I wanna address your questions and concerns but this doesn't really help.

Yeah but that's just it. If you're actively posting in a thread, chances are high someone will quote or mention you. So this is going to be annoying if you're keeping up with the thread anyway.

Thaaanks heaps for the multi-quote option, I've been missing that one a lot. :D Not sure how is the new one gonna work but it deserves a try. :)

Unfortunately I don't believe the hack includes the option for individuals to turn off the notification so we'd have to do it for everyone. Let's test it out for a few days and it if it's too much of a distraction we'll turn it off and just keep the option to notify people via the @ thing

I've been getting notifications when I've quoted people as well. As if I didn't know I quoted someone. xgaah
