Re: Updates/Requests/Improvements

I like the feature of quotes, because many times I post somewhere and I forget to check if someone replied to me. Now there's no chance for this to happen.

What I don't like is to get notifications when I quote others. If you can fix that, it will be perfect IMO.

New test

Disabled notification when you quote someone

You can change settings for each feature in "Settings" (check section User Tagging / Settings at the bottom left)

- Set restriction (you will be notified only when one of your friends mentioned/quoted)
- Hide noticifications
- Enable notifications by email

And 100 (before was 20) characters are displayed on either side of the post in the profile post preview.

I don't mind the quote function so much now that we've had it for a wee while, but can't you change it so that we won't get notifications when we quote other users?? It's valid to get a notification when someone else has quoted you but it's beyond ridiculous to get such when I quote someone. As if I wouldn't know I had done so?

I have no idea what you guys are talking about? I never received notifications about quoting anyone. I did ;however, receive notifications when a person has quoted me.

I do not understand the mention section ... What is that about?

The mention section is kind of like mentioning an account on Twitter or Instagram. You go @ followed by the username, eg bURN. Just nos I mentioned you. You can do this to any user on this forum such as Trece or CypriotGirl. Hope I helped!

Matt - Can you please try to fix the time settings? No matter if I set it to CET +1, GMT or +2, no matter if DST is on auto detect, always off or always on, it never shows the correct time for the CET time zone. It's either two hours behind, an hour behind, an hour ahead, two hours ahead. It's really annoying. :?

Nevermind, I just realized the reason it's suddenly so messed up is because you guys have DST already?

Can we have more contests in this forum please? 3 is just too little. :D

We encourage members to introduce contest ideas to us. You can send us your proposals and we'll review and discuss the next steps.

We don't want this to become escforum.net where there are contests that barely have 10 participants.

We don't want to add contests just for the sake of it. If there is enough interest then we're open to it. First the mods will discuss the proposals and if we have no concerns on our end we will put something in the public area for the members to discuss. If there is enough support we'll add it.

I've seen you active on the other forum. Why not join (more of) those contests on that forum if you're looking to participate in more contests? They have literally hundreds of them.

Damn, you DO love them LOL.

Personally I believe quality over quantity but as said, we're open to things.

I received your suggestion and it will be reviewed accordingly. Thank you very much!!!

I am open to listening to any music.... I love exploring songs I did not know. What I like about this forum is that it has a very diverse taste. I have heard a lot of great songs which I have now on my collection.

I believe as long as the contest is related with ESC then it should be legit.

Re: Updates/Requests/Improvements

I have suggested that before though, must have been missed. I think it should be better / healthier if we can see the voters of ESC 2014 - Song, Artist, NF Discussions for polls.

We respect privacy so we don't want names out there....it's up to the members to decide whether or not they'd like to share how they voted.
