I saw a spanish person complain about Mae Muller stealing that dancer from Chanel as if he can only work for Chanel for the rest of his entire life, poor man only be able to work for Chanel and her two songs

LOL! Which dancer has she stolen, I mean, working with? Is it the one that has danced for the House of Baby in the SpiceWorld 2019 tour?

I’ve decided anyone who doesn’t have this in their top 15 is either an Anglophobe or just in denial

It’s such a bop, and a great one at that

Top 15 doesn’t translate into televotes though. It’s barely in anyone’s Top 3.

So, the husband of Mirjam Weichselbraun (Host of ESC 2015 Vienna) is responsible for the selection of Mae Muller. Video will follow soon.

Is he also behind Crystal Ball as opposed to Vienna University?
We would have to ask @Datura if the ORF investigations into the leak have revealed anything. ORF was apparently shell-shocked at first about the leak.
All the people involved in the selection process at ORF that I asked before and after the leak told me absolutely nothing, saying they had signed an NDA.

Finally I found a cure for the Poe, Poe, Poe infection in my brain. It's defeated by

Da-da-da-da-da-I
Da-da-da-da-da-I (woo-woo)
Da-da-da-da-da-I
Instead I wrote a song

Tell you what, it's a grower, when I first heard it on Radio Two I thought "meh!!" having given it a few re-listens it's growing on me, as has been said it's a catchy pop song.
As an aside a Norwegian mate of mine from my time at Uni said to me "she sounds nothing like you when she talks near the end" I had to explain to him that Mae is from London and I am from Glasgow (originally) and dear old Glaswegian sounds like nothing else on the planet (It's English but not as we know it!!!) :D

One of the few female bops in ESC I don't find that annoyingly bad in recent years. Norway is another one this year.

I do feel like staging and performance is crucial for this song, more than with most of the other songs. It can make the difference between 0 and 180 televoting points and anything in between.

What are your thoughts on the live performance on the night for this one everyone in terms of the song edit itself?

We already know that they've taken out the spoken-word middle-8 and have suggested that that will be kept as a "surprise" for the audience on the night (despite it already being in the music video xthink )

But what about the dramatic intro that is featured in the music video? I really enjoyed it, and much prefer it to the intro from the Spotify cut. Do you think they'll include that to give an epic "entrance moment" for Mae? If you had the song as per the music video for the Eurovision performance, it would be pretty much dead-on 3 minutes, so no issues with timing. I hope we hear the full thing on the night xpray

Double post, but this had me laughing so much!

Back when I was at uni, I did a year in Valencia, Spain, helping English language students prepare for their higher/A-level oral exams. Imagine the confusion when on my first day, after introducing myself to the class in English, one hand pops up from a curious student in the front row with the question "So, Gary, is English your first language?"

The Scottish accent is think in this one haha! All their listening materials basically contained California or Queen's English accents - they'd never quite heard anything like me before. By the end of the year, they were all starting to develop a little Scottish twang :p

Even though I have been in Manchester for 20 years now (wow time flies) If I go back up to Scotland for the football or rugby or if a family member phones me I go back into broad Glaswegian mode!! I remember when my wife and I were courting I took her up to Glasgow to show her the city. We met up with some friends of mine and as the day went on we went for a meal and then some drinks, Sharon, my wife has always said, it was difficult enough to understand the Glaswegian at the start of the day when we were all sober by the end of the night she says she had given up and could just catch, "aye, oh aye and bye the way" from the drunken Glaswegian converstaion, " It was like a foreign language!!"
Aye thanks Love. :D

Apparently the performance will be 3 minutes long, it was said in one of them podcasts recently by Tap. The spotify version, with the spoken word part and intro taken out is 2:45 in length; while the youtube version is around 3:05ish. I can't imagine they'd present the song MV with the intro and spoken word part if there was intention to use it. I know the spoken word parts have had kinda mixed reviews while still leaning positive. I personally like it a lot and as a bridge it builds nicely to the final. I imagine they'll have something super neat planned for staging, no one really saw Sams epic staging moment coming until the rehearsals. I remember people being upset they cut out the ending for the Eurovision version.

Is there a live version yet? I worry that until we hear her sing this live that we can’t judge how this will do. Sam did lots of live which really helped sell him and the song.
The longer we go the more i worry that the song isn’t working.
