I’m happy with this entry. It’s not my style but am pleased to see a generally positive response to it from those away from the UK (afraid we will always be negative until it looks like it’s doing well)
I recall Sam didn’t get a great initial reaction from the UK and we all know how that turned out.

My biggest concern is live performance. Until we hear her sing this live then we can’t be confident

There's no wish to listen this song once again though it's better than the last year's entry for me. Likely it will be in my TOP-10 list with :1: point but it thanks to other 30 entries that even worser than this one

I believe this entry is going to flop and Brits will be crying about it later.

The UK had a great opportunity to showcase something really special and this song is so disappointing.

Would you have been complaining about this kind of song last year?

Its only bad because of the expectation levels.

I dont think this will be near the bottom, perhaps more like 10th-15th place, which would be respectable.

You cant find Sam Ryder's every year tbf, and there are some decent songs this year.

I dont think the aim for us is winning, but rather a respectable result.

whether this song can do well will come down to the live performance on the night, apparently Tom Huerta who was one of Chanel's backing dancers last year is part of the chorography team for Mae Muller.

Im confident it wont be near the bottom though.

I don’t know what to make of this yet.
I do want her to keep the rap though for the performance as that makes it somewhat more memorable at least.

Yup probably tears if it’s a flop but It’s so silly.

I can’t think of what an ideal artist/song song would be ….one that pleases everyone. Like other countries our music scene is so diverse. I had my reservations but I’ve been dancing about to it, so I am happy. Once song is picked all UK should be doing is getting behind the act, ,supporting them, believing in them and sending them all the positive vibes. Some wont like it and that’s ok…. music is subjective. We just need to support our entries after the competition no matter what.

Wishful thinking I know as pessimism is a national sport in the UK. If my fellow brits annoy me I’ll stay positive and instead I’ll write a song hahaha

Sam Ryder had the perfect song for Eurovision. Couldn’t the ghost of Edgar Allan Poe help Mae write some better lyrics? It’s cookie cutter radio-friendly which isn’t good for Eurovision and will probably get lost and forgotten especially if UK gets bad running order placing. It definitely won’t be strong enough to sustain the momentum and goodwill in the UK gained from last year which is a shame.

Completely disagree.

Yes its not Sam Ryder's kind of levels, but it was always going to be hard to match those kinds of levels, you cant expect it every year.

But thats your opinion, the fact the esc scoreboard app ranks it as 7th tells me it could do decently.

How many fans are voting for themselves? I’ve already seen 1 UK fan rate it 12pts.

Bless her. 🤣 ^^

Shes debuted at 56 on the Spotify Chart, imagine that will improve though. Capital Radio is adding the song to its playlist also from what I've seen.

That´s great to be honest.

No other UK act has done that this far out before the contest.

Go, girl!!!
Rina was the messy part here. She has created expectations and then... nothing.
