I cant get it out of my head, honestly.

I think this could do really well, not winner material by any means but a left hand side of the scoreboard is possible.

I wanna ask, isnt against the ESC rules to refer to a brand in your song?
If Dami Im couldnt sing about Facetime and Valentina about Facebook, isn't the Benz lyric a problem?

Let's just wait for the live performance, Mae is a competent performer. Slomo was a much weaker song but the performance made it competitive. Fuego was on no ones radar before the rehearsals. Space Man was on its own also a weak song and could've flopped easily without the right staging and without Sam's charisma. But they made it work. There's clearly a good budget, the video is great. So let's just wait.

"I Wrote A Song" on its own is already stronger and catchier. The only song that's similar is the mess that Israel has given us with those really cringy power of the unicorn lyrics.
I disagree. I think Space Man is a much better song, more creative and is better produced. IWAS is catchy because it’s repetitive and the attitude from the music video is missing in the studio version which leaves it flat for me. She said the staging is good which might help but the song needs something more for me. She needs to be careful because any sort of dance break could be very bad with Noa about.

I said quite a few negative things about this entry. All in all it's too superficial and the lyrics are just not good.

But after a few listens I want to amend my first reaction just a bit; It has some qualities. It's not a bad song and it isn't as dated as I first thought. If I was British, I wouldn't be ashamed. It's just not my thing - I'm not good at judging pop bops.

Interestingly, Mae has the most monthly listeners out of any entrant so far this year - by 1m streams

If Dami Im could get away with it then Mae Muller can.

I think abbreviations and alluding to a brand is OK

I have to say I was fearing the worst with the snippets and the general feel of the choice yesterday.

However, I am man enough to admit when I'm wrong. This is actually a really solid and well produced pop song and it's catchy as hell. Seems like she has enough personality to sell this live and the budget to go behind it also.

I still wish it was Rina as she's one of my favourite British artists and the ultimate dream for Eurovision (especially as a host entry), however Mae does seem to be an astute choice and I wish her well. If we can sneak 10th or at least left side with this, the future will look bright for the UK in Eurovision! xrose

I noticed in the music video she's got the main choreographer for Chanel's Slo-Mo, that's a good sign. The UK have brought in someone that could really accentuate Mae Miller's performance in the final because I thought he did a great job for Spain last year. I'm not expecting miracles but at least there's a commitment there.

My mum almost threw her dinner in the air when Mae's song was played on ITV
She's actually obsessed. A 60+ year old woman obsessed with it.
