I must be honest now I've heard the full version im slightly happier, the music video has some cool elements which could be an interesting nod to the staging.

Female bops don't win eurovision, but then this year would we really want to win, hosting 3 times in a row nearly bankrupted RTE when Ireland hosted 3 times, and the pressure is even greater these days.

I think the song will prove popular and can see a top 15 maybe higher if the production takes off.

Oh, this entry right after the Israel reveal yesterday doesn't look competitive enough against Unicorn. Actually, this sounds like something Ireland would send, and what usually doesn't score very well.

I'm much more positive having listened to it with the music video. It's got way more impact with visuals also the radio edit has parts missing such as the very opening instrumental and the speaking part in the bridge. One of my biggest problems in first reaction to the radio version was that it was flat and needed a bridge so I don't know why that's not on there as it really does make a difference. She's got great charisma in the video which bodes well for the Eurovision performance. It's not in my personal top 10 but I do take back what i wrote before that it's a bottom 5 entry. I reckon upper middle of scoreboard.

Can't believe I'd forgotten about this song

Unfortunately it means jail time for any Brit who forgets the existence of the classic No Way, No Way by Vanilla. It can be averted though by quickly remembering their dazzling followup single, True To Us.

Ireland hosted 3 times in a row in the 90's though when it was still one of the poorest (if not even the poorest) countries in Western Europe, today it's one of the richest countries in the world (although RTÉ as a broadcaster is pretty small I guess and not super rich, but back then it must have been much worse for them).

BBC is one of the richest broadcasters in the world right? At least as far as public ones go, but not sure how UK's economic crisis is reflected in the BBC budget so probably they wouldn't wanna win and host back to back at this moment.

This is so fucking catchy, it has grown a lot on me today. I'm upgrading from :7: to :10: points. It's a really nice uptempo vibe

Well... We finally have a bop :uk: The first pop girl bop since the 90s, I think? In the words of Sarah Harding, "IT'S ABOUT TIME!".

I didn't instantly like the song but now I feel good when I listen to it. Although I feel like it's a bit monotone and flat. The middle 8 isn't big enough for me. There needs to be a big build up and a drop. There is one but it's not dramatic enough and only lasts a few seconds in the song.

In the end, if this song was an entry in 2019 we would have all creamed our knickers. We need a fab performance, otherwise I don't see it making top 15, despite liking it.

It reminds me a lot of Brooke :ie: last year, although overall better production. That has me worried because Europe obviously weren't keen, despite Brooke's charisma and her selling the arse off the song.

Is she sure, she wrote the song and not Edgar? o0
Anyway, I quite like UK this year, but don´t see her doing well in Liverpool

To me this sounds more grown up. Better quality and more believable attitude/sass. Brooke's song felt a bit childish and cheap to me. Not at Blanka - Poland level, but slightly.

I don't like girl pop and started out negative about UK's song today. Strange thing is I'm starting to like it and I shouldn't. What's happening to me??? (I'm a dark indie rock girl. Well, woman now)

So maybe I won't be alone in feeling like this?
I would hope for a top 15, which is very respectable.
