I'm actually thinking nepotism is involved here. There's no way you can look at Mae Muller and think she has talent. Wasn't she in the Mika "Grace Kelly" music video when she was a girl, so she clearly has contacts from even a young age.they thought that what brought them success last year is that they sent a tik tok star, so they are sending a tik tok girl now
What brought them success was Sam's incredible vocals and likeability
I just heard Mae Muller's song and uhmm...it's the spiritual twin of Solo
I think its Adele. Not unless Adele's name is being horrifically misspelt.
No, but I think I heard the snippet on twitterin full?
You know what, this is a good reminder of where we've come from. I might not like the snippet of Mae's song, but it's world's away from this monstrosity that I had relegated to the recesses of my brain. Thank you for this
Only Salena Mastroianni and her shaky vocals can save us with this rather now relevant song
Except for the vocal disaster that was Brividi. (And before anyone says anything, it was in my pre-show Top 10 but God it was awful live.)Ok we havent heard the song in full tho. I think the chorus will be really catchy, but ok yeah shes giving Love island and drunk pub girl a bit I wont lie.
The fact is, the UK will have to face the host country curse this year too. For some reason, people barely vote for the country that hosts, especially if they dont have something very powerful.

As an Italian I still don't understand how we got 6th. And I'm afraid people are starting to see us as the new SwedenExcept for the vocal disaster that was Brividi. (And before anyone says anything, it was in my pre-show Top 10 but God it was awful live.)
Yeah. It is not for me but if people want to buy it and listen to it and Radio 1 taps into it then normally why would I care? The thing is Eurovision and now the UK are trying too hard to tap into the successes of tik tok etc and only aiming at 1 market. That market may be important but they are only 1 part of the audience that watches Eurovision in my opinion.I have no problem with the snippet - I just think it’s something you’d hear overplayed on Radio 1 and not necessarily a song you’d hear on Eurovision, I can’t envisage any ‘wow’ factor that would make anyone spend money on votes
