Sometimes I know my fire burns low
But as long as you're with me I'll never get cold
'Til day and night, 'til darkness and light
I never worry when you're by my side

Oh, feelings change and seasons fade
But nothing will burn us out
Nothing can stop us now

Out of the embers
You and I are gonna light up the room (Yeah, you and I gonna light up the room)
Out of the embers
There's a fire burning for you (Yeah, there's a fire burning for you)
I feel the heat here
There's still a chance for us
Down herе in the ashes, yeah, thеre's something growing
Out of the embers
You and I are gonna light up the room (Yeah, you and I gonna light)

Light up the room
Light up the room

You and me forever, we're free
We're cool under pressure, and that's all we need
So take my hand, and forget the past
We're in this together, there's no looking back

Oh, feelings change and seasons fade
But nothing will burn us out
Nothing can stop us now

Out of the embers
You and I are gonna light up the room (Yeah, you and I gonna light up the room)
Out of the embers
There's a fire burning for you (Yeah, there's a fire burning for you)
I feel the heat here

Light up the room

Out of the embers
You and I are gonna light up the room (Yeah, you and I gonna light up the room)
Out of the embers
You and I are gonna light up the room (Yeah, you and I gonna light up the room)

I will literally change my nationality if it's Frock Destroyers. Anyone want me? 😒

I'm not even British and I would go as far away from Britain as possible! Like if they actually picked them it would be worse than Electro Velvet and would literally be the last nail in the coffin for the reputation of esc in Britain - and I even wouldn't blame the artists not wanting to enter after them.

Well the totally legit 100% real insider info Eurovision Fan pages on Twitter are starting to spark to life again. Naturally they are saying that it is the Frock Destroyers, though not actually saying it is them, just heavily implying it is them, though not outright saying it is them, but posting pictures of them with the Eurovision logo on so you know it is legit, but legally different, but still real, for real, legit, 100%, immediate announcement, but it might be the 26th, defiantly maybe it is the 26th.

All we need now is the """"leaked"""" song to pop up and it will be just like 2020! Isn't this the most magical time of year?

Chile let's wait for RuRuvision to air, I can't wait to see how this turns out.

John Smith from number 2 in my street won a karaoke contest in 2015 - going by the BBC's usual standards (2020 the exception) he fills the criteria perfectly for Rotterdam... Just wait for their big announcement of the big announcement

BBC: BIG NEWS! The UK representative will be announced on Monday!

*Monday comes*

BBC: THE ONE... THE ONLY... JOHN SMITH

oh and for full disclosure there is no John Smith at number 2 in m y street. it's actually a disabled woman and her mother who live at number 2 and the man in the pic probably didn't win a karaoke contest in 2015... He is just a random person I found after a google search - but if any of you know this man please feel free to tell him he is now a eurovision celebritty haha

I'm getting into arguments with people on Drag Race UK facebook fan pages about Frock Destroyers being a bad choice for an entry. They all think it's a great idea, consolidating the opinion that the UK sees Evision as a joke, etc etc etc. They just don't get it. I can't be bothered wasting my energy trying to explain that I LOVE the Frock Destroyers for what they are, but sending them to represent us is just a 'FUCK YOU' to europe, as innocent as the intentions may be from the drag queens. As eurovision stans, we all know that deep down, after 10 years of neglect, this will probably be the last nail in the coffin by the BBC. The frock destroyers are named after two porn stars called the Cock Destroyers, for god's sake! How much more of joke entry can you get?! Some of the Drag Race fans have provided Verchka Seduchka as a counter argument, which they do have a point with, BUT Ukraine have also sent quality entries almost year after year which haven't been a joke.

If they ARE our entry for this year, I wouldn't say they will do badly but I do think it will send out the wrong message to the rest of Europe.

agree! And also Verka did great because it was in 2007, if she participated in 2019 she wouldn't have qualified. Eurovision was very different back then.

This, this, THIS and more of this dear fellow Kim Woodburn fan. I couldn't have put it better. The Frock Destroyers perhaps might be a refreshing choice for a country like say Sweden. A country who can afford to have a vacation. For us meanwhile they'd send out a terrible message. They might be fun for people within the Drag Race community but for everyone else their crude brand humour is not going to land too well at all. They're a joke act. No other category for them. Their aim is to make people laugh and that's fine. Keep doing that but right now the very last thing we need is to flop with three drag queens speak-singing constant crude innuendos for three minutes. It's a Dustin The Turkey-esque disaster waiting to happen. These rumours are torturous, and I generally love light hearted and fun entries, but enough is enough. We're able to compete as well as anyone else and we need to start showing that.

Oh my god! Dustin The Turkey was also was what was at the front of my mind when writing this. It's verging on offensive. And guess what, even back in crazy ESC days of 2008 europe could smell a stinker, hence the non qualification.

I do have a tiny amount of reservation as Baga Chips and Davina aren't idiots and probably have some kind of finger on the eurovision pulse. So it does have SOME potential to be good. I'm just tired of trying to be optimistic for UK entries after 10 years as a hardcore esc stan.

Gosh you're both so right, and it's not even from a place of hate against drag acts or them. Just not at Eurovision. Frock Destroyers, Yes. Eurovision, Hell yes. Together? Absolutely not. The BBC is far smarter than we all think, they've skated a long for years now self sabotaging - lets face it, we know exactly what they do when they present us with such beige mess. 2015 imo was a genuine attempt at something different that just so epically backfired. Considering they declared last year that they want to do well, and change the image of the contest here I'd like to think the Frock Destroyers wouldn't be touched with a barge pole but these constant rumours floating around is so concerning. As Rainy said, if we had a history of doing well and were super successful then we could probably afford to have a laugh one year, but we don't and such a choice would reinforce stereotypes that are already very deeply reinforced. It's beggers belief that considering the high popularity in viewing, and chart success the entries have now that people still think the contest is full of cheese and jokes.

I think it's been mentioned in this thread already but Davina De Campo alone would be more of an appropriate choice if the BBC were deffo choosing Drag Race UK alumni. He has a great voice and stage presence. However, after Conchita, you can't really follow it since Conchita was such a huge success. Any drag acts singing a serious song after would be too copy-cat. You just can't top Conchita ('scuse the pun).

I really hope all of these rumours aren't true. Although I'm also equally concerned about another bland year of 'Deep-sea Divers' type songs (or whatever it was called). Just tell us now BBC! Put us out of our misery and let us be fake enthusiastic about another beige song.

I think it is worth remembering that there still isn't anything credible to support the rumours. Its mostly fan casting that some how has found credibility because of random fan pages on twitter saying its happening and the fact there happens to be a Eurovision themed Drag Race episode tomorrow.

Its the same thing that happened last year when we had people thinking Flur East was doing it because she mentioned something about a "Storm" and had an announcement coming up. So fans thought the storm part was a reference to a past Eurovision song as such the announcement was going to be her doing Eurovision. And the same fan twitters were heavily implying that it would be her at the time.

Its the same thing. Just with a different act. Lets save our panicking for the week of the 25th or soon after.

Tumblr, mostly.
If UK does goes with drag act of some kinda I personally want something like this but never going to happen

Hearts Align. Honestly, the Uk would improve if they just recruited the fun Melfest rejects and didn't bother with... whatever that embarrassing NF of theirs was called again.
