True, true, that is why I said before she is either doing it and shrugging it off or she isn't doing it and is just sick of the question and is being diplomatic. Either way until she outright says "I'm not doing it" or someone else gets announced its all still in play, all still in flux, plenty of time for the BBC/BMG to score an own goal and disappoint everyone.

Because they are the only ones that answered the BBC's calls? I don't think that the exact details of how the partnership came to be has ever been fully divulged or if they tried to get others involved. To be honest I do feel that there really should be more than just one record label that is part of this, but this might well just speak to how unambitious the BBC is surrounding Eurovision as a whole.

I understand the situation well, we have only now gained enough interest from labels in our NFs. It's been rough. And I have no idea if it will last.

I'm hoping UK will do a NF again next year.

my guess is they really wanted to show the act in September. because in drag race, the cycle is the original start in jan or feb then all-stars in may or June then the international version, (uk,aus/nz,neatherland,thailand)on the fourth quarter that way you get a new episode of drag race every week.
but 'quarantine' happened and it forked the schedule. my guess us mnek has a song or is producing the song and one or more of the queens will sing the verse. and that's the prize of the week.
i'm warming up to the idea of FD going to eurovision, but if you look at the album (the song should be under 3 minutes and no mentions of brands) only 'big ben' passes the mark. but it makes flying the 'would you like something to suck on before landing,sir' flag a children's song.

All these constant Frock Destroyer rumours are bringing a pain to my chest, along with a sense of great unease that's currently swirling something rotten in the pit of my stomach, especially when we have the incomparable Jane McDonald ready to cruise into the hearts of Europe. I know who I prefer of the two currently rumoured acts.

I doubt it is the Frock Destroyers, I would be completely stunned if it was them given the fact that even Lee Smithurst said that he does not want novelty acts.

I suspect we will hear something pretty soon given the song submission deadline is March 9th, so around 29 days away from now.

We are looking at a February reveal, perhaps on the week of the 22nd.

Frock Destroyers cannot be our representatives. I may have misunderstood your previous post @Chrisiam but the current UK series finished filming in late 2020, so I'd find it surprising if everything was all tied up way back then.

Has there been any activity from the BBC Eurovision socials, retweeting or commenting on anything suspicious. There must be some morsel for us to gnaw on...

Well the totally legit 100% real insider info Eurovision Fan pages on Twitter are starting to spark to life again. Naturally they are saying that it is the Frock Destroyers, though not actually saying it is them, just heavily implying it is them, though not outright saying it is them, but posting pictures of them with the Eurovision logo on so you know it is legit, but legally different, but still real, for real, legit, 100%, immediate announcement, but it might be the 26th, defiantly maybe it is the 26th.

All we need now is the """"leaked"""" song to pop up and it will be just like 2020! Isn't this the most magical time of year?
