Joking aside, Jane is a fantastic singer and performer and would be a great choice with the right song for a middle of the leader board position!

I returned to find Su Pollard and Jane McDonald the new names in the rumor mill, and the BBC is ABSOLUTELY capable of serving us either at Eurovision, or even both. And both would slay. Well she ruled herself out pretty definitively a few years back when she said (and I'm paraphrasing here) that she'd never do it as it was all political and it would only ruin her career if she didn't win.

Well if it is revealed around the same time as last year it will be announced on the 25th February at the earliest. So that is plenty of time to build up hype and then get disappointed when it leaks the night before and turns out to be kind of average.

Of course she isn’t! I just think if we sent her she’d do okay-ish due to her lungs be charisma. But yeh Jane isn’t right.

To be fair at this stage we don't know who we have. All we know is that they are/have worked on a song together which may or may not be Eurovision related. I did see on Twitter a random Eurovision fan page saying that it has been confirmed that it isn't them, but haven't posted where they know that from. So as it currently stands Fleur and James are both representing and not representing the UK at the same time.

BBC seems very tight at keeping their secrets, but I'm not sure on Fleur East being considered a participant. Fleur East is signed to Strictly Rhythm, which is under BMG, but it's an American label; her current British label seems to be either Sony Music or she goes independent now.

Only she hasn't really though. That article references a tweet/video from the other day that was discussed in this thread. And in the tweet/video she doesn't say that she isn't doing it. She just says that there are always rumours of her doing it, and that last year it was done by 'someone else'. Unless there is something there that I am missing here?
