Back on topic though, this is one of the better ratios for a UK entry in a while (at least since Molly), and most UK fans seem to be optimistic. Even if it's not my favorite entry, I'm genuinely rooting for James this year, because, similar to Molly, I fear that if the UK places lower than 18th, the BBC will overreact again and pack up shop.
Not only that, but the attitude needs to change. When one of the DJs on the hip, popular radio is slagging off Eurovision, that just makes people justified in their opinion of,
"Why bother sending a good entry if we're always going to lose, it's just a silly campfest". If you stop treating it like an embarrassment, then maybe other artists won't feel like it's a stain on their career to participate.
