You don't always need to win Eurovision by sending your best music artists, look at last years winner Måns Zelmerlöw, correct me if I'm wrong but he's not exactly a huge Swedish popstar like Tove Lo, Zara Larsson, or Avicci.

David Cameron was asked a question about Eurovision/EU Referendum during PMQ's today :p He said he'd be very sad if the UK ever had to withdraw from the Contest, but given that seemingly "anyone can join... Australia, Israel" he doubts that EU membership would affect Eurovision participation ;)

Also, I noticed someone had written into the Daily Mirror to say that they agree with Bjorkman, and that Sir Terry/Graham Norton's laughing at the Contest is just a public display of a typical British attitude that thinks it's okay to laugh at foreigners

Big names usually don't do that well in Eurovision because you simply expect more of them than of newcomers or unknown artists. You will always compare their best or popular/most successful songs to the Eurovision song and everybody is like 'nah, they can do better than this'. I think being famous is more a disadvantage than helpful. (Unless you're really famous)
Apart from that I don't like it when too famous artists with a big fanbase participate in Eurovision, because I'm afraid people will vote for them just because they're famous.

It will obviously come down to the performance and the running order, but I can't see it finishing higher than 18th, 15th at most

Scott Mills meeting and giving interviews to Ireland, Italy, UK, Malta, Macedonia, Cyprus and Albania.

Nice to see some of these little extra things being done by BBC. If only they'd make it into a TV show.

I just wish he might ask the odd serious question, instead of the usual inane, jokey crap.

Old news, it was the day before of after Eurovision in concert, so 2 weeks ago ;)

I know it was a couple of weeks ago, but I only read they had and didn't get to see it until now. ;) Plus not everyone may have known.

The song just played in a reality show in our most watched broadcaster, TVI. Whoever makes the soundtrack of their reality-shows is a eurofan, as even songs from MF have appeared.

Has anyone noticed a lot more eurovision songs being played in the UK recently?? I heard Mans in my local shopping centre recently and my area is one of the most anti-europe in the UK, I also found Euphoria playing in Britain's Got More Talent tonight:

BBC interview with Graham Norton:

Do you have anything special planned when it comes to song number 9?

Yes indeed! For those who aren’t aware song number nine is famous because Sir Terry always warned me not to have anything to drink until that point. During song number nine this year the host country Sweden will be performing and I will be encouraging everyone to raise a glass. It has all worked out very nicely as Swedish people in the arena will be cheering their song in the stadium as everyone back in the UK will join me and say cheers to the memory and legacy of Sir Terry Wogan.

It looks like indirect message to Björkman.

Not sure if it's just me or not, but our song is getting a lot of views all of a sudden. I'm certain we've gained a few hundred thousand fews in only a couple of days and overtaken several other countries on views.

Also, our jury in Stockholm is made up of:

CeCe Sammy - F - 38 - Vocal Coach, Judge, Vocalist, Artist
Bea Munro - F - 23 - Singer / Songwriter
Seamus Haji - M - 47 - DJ/Producer/Remixer/A&R/Record label owner/Radio presenter/Part-tiime Music Business Tutor
Sean McGhee - M - 40 - Singer / producer / songwriter
Kiran Thakrar - M - 53 - Music Producer/ Music Composer

Is it just me that has no idea who any of these are?

Hmm, before the UK jury was revealed I would have said Malta would get 12 points from the UK jury, now I'm not sure looking at how old they are. And I don't have a clue who any of them are either.

I just want to say that this is probably the best British entry since 2012. I have a soft spot for songs that are named "You are not alone" and to be honest, I liked it from the first hearing which is a good sign. Also Joe and Jake look like a gay couple which could get them some points too :)

BTW, which one is Joe and which one is Jake?
