Things would have been different if Italy wasn't robbed last year because of the - probably - corrupted jury.

"One" jury? Are you aware that there is a jury per country, resulting in a total of 40 juries (considering the number of participating countries last year)? Why am I even explaining things to you... yours is just another post full of BS, like the ones that A-lister is used to write.

I meant the jury in general, not a specific jury from one country. My mistake.

Really unprofessional comments from Bjorkman there if it's true. Sweden as hosts are actually annoying me now too, at first I thought people were jealous of their success but now I can see Sweden are just so arrogant now and they're slowly ruining the charming qualities that makes Eurovision awesome.

Exactly. They are trying to make ESC into a MF. I love Frans but I really dont want him to win because I can only imagine what changes they will introduce next year... Second Chance round on the Friday? Heats instead of Semi Finals for a 4 weeks instead of ESC week etc...

Ohhh Björkman .... I mean, he's kinda right here and there but it's not his f**cking job to tell other countries what they have to do/change!
This is not even criticism anymore ... it's just arrogant bullshit, highly unprofessional, impertinent and calculating. It's seems like every year he's looking for yet another victim that he can bash (or from his point of view: a country that he can bless with his endless knowledge).
Last year it was our turn ... After the NDR called him "premature" (for saying that it was fix that Germany would host if Australia wins) he was pissed and made sure that everyone on this ridiculous Swedish-preview-show gave a bit fat zero to Ann-Sophie.
His personality is just disgusting and I bet his Penis is smaller than a baby-banana :geek: #sorrynotsorry

Call me a conspiracy theorist, but I am seriously starting to believe that Dark Lord Björkman´s cunning plan is to merge MF and ESC within a few years and that his "Sweden is the best and other countries should just shut up and take notes" propaganda is a crucial part of it. Not to mention all that seemingly cosmetical changes, leading to highlighting of certain participants and marginalizing the rest.

On a more positive note, Mr. Björkman´s delusion of grandeur served as inspiration for some very amusing memes.

I can't wait for us to draw first half and then get given 2. xheat

It's such a mystery as to why Bjorkman keeps trying to destroy the very contest that he claims to love.

I'm beginning to ask myself the same question that historians ask about Hitler and art school  What if Bjorkman hadn't been so humiliated by flopping so hardcore at ESC on home soil in 1992? It seems to have changed the course of ESC history as we know it

Graham Norton show is on YouTube. For some reason, the uploader cut out Joe & Jake´s performance. But there is some talk about Eurovision, starting at 29:00 and including Meryl Streep´s reaction on naked Ivan.

The Bjorkman-Sand era is the best era in ESC ever. Thanks to them, ESC for most part stopped being a trashy campfest and embraced the modernity and the contemporaneity. If there's still any country which still doesn't take ESC seriously, it needs to withdraw and not ruin the reputation of ESC.

2015 was a good level of modern in terms of graphics, format, and production imho. I fear that the new 2016 style will seem fake and withdrawn from reality, and the overproduction leading to the show feeling less personal to Europeans.

i do believe that the UK needs to tone down the snark a bit. the irish commentary was not exciting because they play it straight. i bit of sas is good not over the top. i think graham norton does get the balance of being funny while not slagging the song too much. he tells you if the song is good or terrible.

BUT WHEN I HEAR THIS OF THE SIMON COWELL WANNBE THAT IS christer björkman. IT MAKE BY BLOOD BOIL. THE AROGANCE OF THIS MAN INTO A LEAVE OF DOUCHBAGERY THAT I DO WISH SWEDEN DOSE NOT QUALIFY NEXT YEAR OR GET ACCIDENTAL LAST PLACE THIS YEAR. I WANT HIM TO SELF THE SAME PAIN HE DID IN 2010.

ALSO, I THINK BJERKMAN IS RIGGING EUROVISION. THE PRODUCER LEAD RUNNING ORDER ONLY HIGHLIGHT FAVORITES AND LEAVES SONG THAT MIGHT NEED A GOOD PLACING TO WIN TO WASTE. IT NOT FAIR AND MAKE THE WINNER MORE OR LESS KNOWN.

NOT THE FIRST TIME SWEDEN (BJMAN) HAS 'CHEATED'. BACK IN 2008, WHEN WE STILL HAD 100% PUBLIC. THEY INTRODUCE A 'JURY SAVE' AND USED IT SO SAVE THE FANFLOP THAT WAS HERO BY CHARLOTTE PERRELLI (12 PLACE). LEAVING THE ACTUAL TENTH PLACER FYRO MACEDONIA TO THE NON-QUALIFICATION.SHAME

I WOULD RATHER WATCH UMK THAN MELFEST. IT HAS MORE CONSIDERATION FOR SONG QUALITY THAN WHICH SONG SOUNDS MORE LIKE JUSTIN BEIBER.

will the UK win this year? no. can you get a good placeing this year? maybe. but a failed eurovision contestant does not decide how and why any other country presents eurovision

Bjorkman is just trying to get noticed, the best thing to do is ignore him. We don't need him to tell us that we haven't "got" Eurovision, we can see that from our results xshrug It is partly our fault we do badly, partly Europe's fault. But anyway, we're not obsessed with winning like Bjorkman.

I'm the biggest flag-waver and even I don't have any particular desire for us to win or host.

It seems hypocritical to me that he condemns Britain for sending rubbish entries, and then also condemns Sir Terry (after he just died as well!!) for pointing out other countries sending rubbish. Seems like a bit of distasteful Anglophobia on Bjorkman's part tbh.

As for J&J, they should keep doing what they're doing - making us proud. Their selfie idea is brilliant, and hey, we now get Meryl Streep and Hugh Grant on the Euro stage (kind of) :D

About the selfie idea for the UK staging, I've read somewhere that someone has sent a photo shopped picture of themselves next to Anna Bergendahl and Christer Bjorkman after the 2010 semi final results. I really hope that gets used on the night, :D
