and its back, an idea for a National Final based off the 2008 system, just jazzed up a little. Please don't mean XD

Episode 1
All of the 10 songs are paired up and go into a 'sing off'. Juries will individually vote on which song they prefer and think will be more successful from the pairs. This continues through the 5 sing offs until 5 songs remain. From the 5 discarded songs, a quick vote either with the audience and/or public will occur at the end of the programme to save one song that will continue to the final.
Episode 2
The 6 finalists sing their songs to win the public vote, from the end of the show the public will have 1 week to vote through various methods - an international online vote could also occur in order to create international support for the song.
Episode 3
At the beginning of the show the 4 songs with the fewest votes are eliminated leave the top 2 songs. After the two songs are sung again to refresh the mind, and then a jury vote of the two songs is mixed with the televote to decide a winner.

Refinements & Problems
+Get rid of quick vote in episodes 1 and have 5 finalists instead.
+Get rid of Episode 3 and hold a regional jury/televote vote in episode 2 after songs are sung.

+Good songs could be paired up allowing bad/poor quality songs to get through.
+Juries are complete mugs and f**k up big time.

The Method that UK use to use a few decades ago An
Internal artist is selected and that artist will then sing a
selection of songs and the public will vote for their favourite.

Last one i promise :D

I think it's good :D
But I don't think the 2nd episode would be needed. The superfinal is a cool idea.

It was also used between 1964 and 1975, and was very successful - in that time we got two 1st's, six 2nd's, one 3rd, two fourths and a 9th. That method kind of gives the best of both worlds - celebrity singers refuse to compete in a national final in fear of failing at that point, so allowing a internal artist selection and a national selection for a song kills any worries a celebrity may have. Out of any method i think this type is the one i think BBC would be most likely to pick because its the most basic and in the case of Bonnie Tyler, the songs have already been written and made so all the BBC do is create a shortlist.

I want Naughty boy to write for the UK in ESC! :D

"I'm covering my ears like a kid
When your words mean nothing, I go la la la
I'm turning up the volume when you speak
'Cause if my heart can't stop it,
I find a way to block it, I go
La la, la la la la la na na na na na
La la na na, la la la la la na na na na na"

xheartxheartxheartxheart

no problem. I personally don't understand such a late announcement, I don't get why can't announce in January, at least to put our mind at rest. haha

UK need a national final :p The last NF was in 2007? :p

no that was France. Last one in the UK was 2010. A National Final would be great, but unlikely. I just hope developments in France might influence the BBC XD
