Well she has said she'd like to do it and something with stylophone for example would be great.

I would very much like someone like her to do it as well :) Hopefully BBC has already got her and are spending the time creating a great song. (unlikely though knowing the BBC) However i'm not sure if shes being serious or not in her tweets about it.

I think Adele will also fall into the catagory that doctormalisimo was getting at.

Yeah, probably. Then I would like to hear something different from the BBC, for once no pop or conventional ballad. Preferably also in another language than English. They have little to lose resultswise anyway.

Oh another language i'm sure will do great. As for other countries singing in English does better, but for the UK if they created a song with a mix languages from around europe like French, Greek and Swedish then i'm sure Europe would look more kindly onto the UK and give us a few points.

I was primarily thinking of languages like Welsh, Scottish, Cornish, Manx, Irish, etc. actually  This would be awesome. xup

Well,if Engelbert was 76 in Baku, and Bonnie was 61 in Malmo,
that means the next representative of UK will be 46.

You mean Gaelic for Irish, and i think Scottish. But that would do as well.

Jesus they picked Engelbert by choice over them Hurts lost out out on Eurovision to Engelbert Humperdinck - Music News - Digital Spy

and how they asked them http://static.nme.com/images/gallery/HurtsEurovisionTwitterPR170512.jpg on the 9/1/12. I hope whoever has been involved the last two years never ever get to do our song or act again.

If it's true, it's both a shame (they favoured Engelbert over them) and great news. xyes If they showed interest once, what is stopping them from reappear again?

And didn't they pick some other useless act over Katie Melua aswell some years ago?

Gosh, BBC is a total joke. Better withdraw if they can only treat ESC as a joke.

I think it's been said, but i think next year will send the Scissor Sisters, mainly was because they were rumored this year and Ana Matronic was a commentator for BBC 3 in the semi's

From their own mouths

Even if it was them who did it. We still would of gone up first and unless it was memorable then again it would of been forgotten.

But it certainly wouldn't finish dead last with that embarrassing point total would they. Their music from what I heard was pretty jury friendly (think of all those soft rock Danish entries that they loved, 2011 especially when they performed 3rd) and they were definitely modern and current enough to appeal to televoters. Even performing first I would like to think a top 15 Blue result was more than possible and maybe even better because I don't think vocally they would have crashed and burned like Blue did.

Of course we will never know because they were never given the chance. I think their rejection by the BBC was worse then their rejection of Katie Melua because no one should have to question their appeal to both the jury and televote whereas Katie would always be stronger with a jury then the televote. Either way both not representing the UK was a MAJOR loss for British Eurovision and will always be an example of how terrible the BBC are with ESC.

Please, stop beating Humperdinck. The man did a good act but, more often than not, in Eurovision you don't get the results you deserve.

I think turning down Morissey was the biggest mistake. He was interested in doing it but he didn't want to go through a national selection. The BBC should have just selected him internally. I don't even listen to his music but it would have been great to have such an influential artist on the Eurovision stage. It could have brought a whole new audience to the contest and encourage other alternative artists/bands to enter.

Morissey would have been good, but he has a lot of negative press about him because of his political views.
