Boy George would be an interesting choice. I've never properly got into his music or anything but he has a lovely soulful voice that has only gotten better and better as he has aged. Despite his dealings with the law, I understand and believe that he is a very nice man. He's a friend of a friend of my Mum's:rolleyes::lol:

This duet Boy George did with Antony and the Johnsons is incredibly touching. I'd rather have Antony represent us though. That's my dream choice for usxcry1

oh god no not boy george. I would rather us withdraw than get humiliated AGAIN, especially with him. Hes too much a risk, a couple of years ago he was arrested for picking up male prostitutes and was subsequently beaten up, and with this whole sex scandals going on then i doubt the BBC will choose him. Like ive said i don't think Ellie would ever do it. A lot people say send someone famous from your music industry but no one decent wants to do ESC. It can be a 'career killer' for them. So the only choice the bbc have is send has beens or make up their own song and in the last 10 years making their own song has only work well once and that was 2009. So now they're trying has beens but that doesn't seem to paying off either.

What about Emeli Sandé? BBC should really consider sending her to Denmark because she's very good live and has charisma!

The BBC probably want her to go, but I doubt she would :( I agree though, she would be a great choice

The BBC would only want her to go if they wanted to be in with a chance of winning.. which they don't.

I quite like Emeli. I generally can't abide British chart music but there's something nice about her. "Clown" is beautiful and her first two songs "Heaven" and "Daddy" I thought were epic.

Emeli Sandé is simply amazing. A breath of fresh air in the terrible music that makes it to the charts.

I do. She has a fresh look and beautiful voice and if she has an interesting song then she can go really well. If the BBC wants to win (I doubt it though) then they should send someone like her, if not her.

I love Ellie and Emeli being thrown around here... chances of any of them agreeing are 0.00001% so dream on! ;)

Emeli MIGHT agree to it as a songwriter though, it's not impossible. I liked her debut album, but for instance her song written for Rihanna is like a bad copy of one of her album tracks. There's a slight "one-trick pony" over this one... but still miles better than what the UK tend to send to ESC anyways.

Ellie would be a wet dream, she's one of my favorite current acts, but it won't happen.

In your head

Well she has said she'd like to do it and something with stylophone for example would be great.

The BBC should literally JUMP on her before she changes her mind. It would be great to have Little Boots represent us. I haven't heard her new album yet but I really enjoyed her debut when it came out. Something like "Remedy" or "New In Town". I know people criticise Little Boots chart success (or rather lack of) but it's the general publics loss as she actually makes pretty darn good, infectious electro pop. I don't think she would win (although you never know) but I could see her having a similar fate as Margaret had this year.

Little Boots could be in interesting choice, I really like her slightly schizophrenic debut... her follow-up I haven't really got into though. Surprised to see her interested?

But will the juries (= we love big wailing useless American Idol-ish type of vocals) fall for her? xshrug ... on the other hand they did like Margareth Berger who is a bit similar.
