Well surprisingly for me this year UK is one of my fav entries....I liked their rehearsals, even tho someone's voice didnt fit in there, not sure whose but I think it was Antony and I absolutely love Lee's voice. They definitelly can do better and I hope they can show it on saturday.
From my point of view they have great chances to win,I am supporting them:uk:

Am I right in thinking British Eurovision songs usually don't chart until after the contest? If so that's really good going  Especially as it's more than like the highest one of our songs has gotten since 2007 :p

you are correct about that.
but even after the contest some of the UK entries fail to chart high.
so it's a great to go top 20 a week before ESC.

It's a shame cos it was in the top 10 in the midweek chart but obviously it couldn't cling onto it's position! Still not bad for a eurovision song though! Am I right in thinking the last UK eurovision song to reach the top 10 was actually Jemini in 2003? I've got vague memories of it reaching #10 after all the nul points publicity it got the week after eurovision!

^ Nope it was Scooch who got to #5 . And in terms of hard-copies sold they were actually at #1 :D.

As for Blue's charting, it's disappointing but considering the lack of radio play that's a good number and hopefully it'll be much improved by next week!

With the lack of airplay the song has had, #16 is actually pretty good! It might have been after the contest, but I think Scooch got #5 back in 2007.

Edit: Damn, beaten :p

It so won't win and will struggle to get a top 10 result.
And I feel sorry for that cause everybody in the UK will be disappointed and will put the blame on Russia.

I actually think you're totally wrong. Barring a dreadful vocal performance (which is possible) the jury votes alone will virtually guarantee it a top 10. It's a 'big' band with a current-ish song and will eat up jury votes (along with France). They have a good fan-base throughout Europe anyway, and if they perform well on the night I think they will probably finish a good 2nd. Can't see beyond France as the winner and I think could be a landslide, but Blue have an outside chance if Europe doesn't get the 'popera' thing. As for Russia, it's a bland, boring old fashioned pop-song and if it wasn't Russia it wouldn't even qualify. Neighbour voting will get it through but can't see it making the top 10.

Better than the 1st rehearsal but still not enough. I strongly hope Lee's saving his voice.

I'm new to the forum; and after the Josh fiasco, I'm right behind Blue!

A rehearsal is just that...a rehearsal: staging, sound, lighting etc.

I doubt they're even at 50% at rehearsal. Who would know? Who should care? Would you eat a half cooked chicken breast?

They're professionals; thus their final performance is where it will be at :D

As for the French entry; it's hideous.

True I know they can do way better, everyone is way too relaxed at the rehearsals and I am sure they will do it better on the final, they just need to concentrate and to control their voices.

I love this song! I find myself humming it all the time subconsciously xD
To be honest I am a little disappointed about the rehearsals but I'm sure they will do it better in the final show.

You got my vote. I also hope Romania's gonna give 12 to UK!
GOOD LUCK!!!

I was very happy with the amount of cheers we got when our clip was playing... nearly as many as Germany's! :D
